has anyone used JB4's "Full send" map on the 11th gen civic Si?

I have a JB4 connected to my 2024 Civic Si. The map I Im running makes +4.5 psi of boost (map 3). I'm looking to run 30% E85, and I want to ask here before I blow up my turbo: would running map 7 (+9 psi) make my car blow up? Has anyone here with an 11th-gen Si run with map 7 on JB4? I know this is specific, but I just wanted experiences.

Why did you not get a KTuner v1.2 for an affordable tune? A JB4 is a piggyback system which does not change the factory ECU programming but more like tricks it into receiving different data. JB4 works, but on very mild builds. If you are messing with fuel and high boost, you should really look at getting a real tuning device such as a Ktuner. Reason I say this is because the JB4 is limited to the factory programming limits, which also means the ECU factory safety limits are not reliable because they are being fed false data by the JB4.

Burger Motorsport . The fact that they can churn out a JB4 for so many different makes and models is a big red flag. It's probably programmed with some universal tuning tricks and was never actually tested or dyno on each and every particular make and model. Sorry OP, but trash or sell the JB4. I picked up a Ktuner v1.2 from TSP that comes with 6tunes from Ktuner and a free tune from TSP for cheaper than the JB4.

You asked an open forum about something and people gave their opinions. Shouldn't be surprised. You've asked questions about this same system before and didn't get any answers then and probably won't since pretty much the majority of the community doesn't and wouldn't run this system.

There's a saying in controls that you never want to spoof sensor data to achieve an outcome, since that means you're basically not controlling anything. If we could just spoof the data then there would be no point in controls and everything would be baked.

What JB4 does is act like a signal conditioner, but in this case it's not normalizing the signals, it's entirely changing them. An engine thinking it's super hot outside and that it needs to push boost super high to achieve its torque goals is going to damage itself when it doesn't actually need to make that torque. They also don't mess with fueling or basically anything else that the spoof sensors don't touch. From a conceptual standpoint it's not something you want to do long-term.

Now, people run JB4 for a while. JB4 advertises the system basically turning off when it's potentially doing damage. So clearly there's situations where people like it, but at the end of the day it's a stopgap solution that is built with a failsafe to not work.

As for voiding warranty, burger motorsports doesn't mention it because it CAN void your warranty. They'd be stupid to say otherwise regardless of how it works.

Going to be honest, I can't say I consider the JB4 option to be a competitor. Apples to oranges. We only sell Apples here and have several for you to choose from.

Check the Tuned Reliability thread, both 11th and 10th gen. Running E85 at +9psi (or at +9psi on pump gas regardless) will put your 1.5T in danger of head gasket issues and your clutch will probably start to slip at that power. Ethanol and big boost is where reliability issues happen outside of abuse and poor maintenance.
