Thereās a mention on the window itself saying the light transmission is greater than, or equal to 70%. I guess it could be brighter than 70% tint from the factory. If my math is mathing, your 50% front tint combined with a 70% front factory tint equates to around a 35% outcome.
I think Acura completely hit a home run with the ITS as a daily driver, as evidenced by all the accolades by the media / motoring press. Man, I really love that black interior with the contrasting red baseball stitching. I donāt want to know what Iām missing either with the ELS 16-speaker...
I wouldnāt fault anyone for doing that actually, especially if intended as a daily driver that will see commuting mileage and winter salt. Iād hate to subject my FL5 to the aforementioned conditions, and would have to keep my beater alongside it in the stable. But with the ITS, I would sell my...
Great to hear of your positive experience with that dealership! Ooh Michelin Alpin are the dream winter tires for me - dare I ask how much it cost? Did you need to size up to 265/35/19?
I see that TE37 Saga S-Plus are now available in 19x9.5, and +55 is an option. What are the pros and cons of going with et55 instead of more aggressive et45 besides looks?
Considering the more conservative offset to stay closer to stock geometry. Will the +55 have a significant advantage in...
If you care about the Type R pedigree and the rarity in Canada, Iād go with the FL5 especially if you like the seats. $5k difference isnāt huge, but also consider luxury tax if that applies where you are - that would bump the difference up more than $5k.
I do find the stock exhaust very...
Iām glad the ITS exists, as Iāll eventually be swapping the ITSā damper module into my FL5. Iām still breaking it in so havenāt pushed it at all, but itās disappointing that Honda overdamped the FL5ās dampers that badly (if judging by the myriad of videos and opinions available now).
I also...
I found it difficult to get into reverse last time I drove it, and I was at a standstill. Been driving manual Hondas for over 20 years. Hoping itās a problem that wonāt happen again, especially after break-in period.
Wouldnāt be surprised if they revise the damping programming for a 2026 refresh (if the FL5 continues on past 2025). Seems like a lot of track goers even prefer the ITS damping over the overdamped CTR module.
Reinforces how Honda *may have* screwed up the damping characteristics of the FL5. Luckily itās an easy fix now thanks to the ITS existing with its damper module part.
Does anyone with an AWE Touring exhaust still wish (sometimes) that they still have the usage of the factory valves?
The AWE along with the diamond black tips and the price point are most attractive to me right now, but wonder if Iāll really miss the ability for the exhaust to quiet right...
Yeah I understand why the reverse rake exists (very prominently on BMWs), but aesthetically isnāt pleasing. Might still go with Spoon springs for functionality and milder drop but weāll see. Would be especially interested in reviews of Spoon springs paired with the ITS damper module.
