$5k is not bad.
In 2021 I was going to buy a new ctr but the local dealer wanted $5k over. I expected msrp or bust bc everybody on the forums said so. Well I missed out and 2 years later used 2021 ctr's are still going for more. Personally, I shouldn't have listened to the trolls....True story!
So smog is required regardless if new or used.
Also, assuming you bought the car new from a dealer, would you also be required to resmog every 2 years? Or is it exempt for 6 years being new?
I've researched some but just want to get some specifics cleared up. Thanks.
Hit it when you drive to pinpoint the location. Rip off the panel and parts until the noise is gone. Replace parts with insulation around tabs such as electric tape. That's what I would do, but I would be too scared to rip a new car apart and just live with it😅
According to other post, that 2000 number is not accurate. And nobody is walking in and getting msrp on the spot, most are waitlisted for years, has connections, or is trading in another vehicle at a loss for msrp.
Can't remember sellers name but shingle springs Honda in CA has a 2023 (sgp I believe) for +2kadm +2k in add ons. I inquired about their 2024 cwp, that is +10k in transit.
Let me know if you dealer can do me a white for $2k over👍. I know this is a longshot but my justification is I'm still third in line for $2k over with my dealer but they only got 1 since release 😪
Never thought the painters tape would leave residue, thanks for the tip I'll look into that. I only intend to wrap it on the drive home and remove it right away until ppf'ing.
I'm concerned about the drive home, if I'm able to buy in state when my time comes. Don't want to pay for a delivery service if I don't have to.
Did anybody mask their car off on the drive home? Or is their a better method these days? Don't want to risk any rock chips before ppf.
