So smog is required regardless if new or used. Also, assuming you bought the car new from a dealer, would you also be required to resmog every 2 years? Or is it exempt for 6 years being new? I've researched some but just want to get some specifics cleared up. Thanks.

Hit it when you drive to pinpoint the location. Rip off the panel and parts until the noise is gone. Replace parts with insulation around tabs such as electric tape. That's what I would do, but I would be too scared to rip a new car apart and just live with it😅

Never thought the painters tape would leave residue, thanks for the tip I'll look into that. I only intend to wrap it on the drive home and remove it right away until ppf'ing.

I'm concerned about the drive home, if I'm able to buy in state when my time comes. Don't want to pay for a delivery service if I don't have to. Did anybody mask their car off on the drive home? Or is their a better method these days? Don't want to risk any rock chips before ppf.
