Ok, that is interesting I've been on the waitlist at Carter since forever and they straight up refused to take a deposit. When did you put your deposit down if you don't mind me asking?

If I ever get one, it will be my year round DD. The whole point of a 4dr hot hatch, to me at least, is precisely that it can be your one and only do-everything car.

My backup was the Supra manual... well at least until I got told by dealers there is a massive waitlist. So yeah... kind of over being on waitlists after this. My second backup is maybe a Golf R whenever they fix the steering controls. Or maybe the car bubble will pop finally and I can pick...

This is just speculation, but I think they did, and failed They had it out there, and I was surprised when there was no announcement on a new time. However, the LE sold like hot-cakes, and Honda marketing probably figured it didn't matter if they beat the record. No real point to spend a bunch...

Depends on your dealer probably I wouldn't be surprised if some dealers force buyers to select all of the options, plus extended warranty, plus a bunch of rip-off 3rd party services like paint protection and undercoating. If you don't agree to buy it... they just bring in the next guy on the list.

Online reservations will be nuts if they go that way. I wonder if we will get a lottery system here. Just curious, how do you guys know? Is it just speculation based on some general outline, or are there differences between provinces in how they are getting notified about their allocations...
