If you were looking for more direct clutch feel, replacing this dampener with a bypass is definitely one of the ways to go about it.
Upgrading the clutch line, bypassing the dampener, and removing the delay valve inside the slave cylinder are the primary ways to help get more direct clutch...
Seems like you were running into this issue only while the car was off?
I'm no expert or anything but my experience with dry shifting always has a bit of resistance and clunkiness as nothing is moving and there's no lubrication being run through the gearbox.
If that wasn't the case then you...
Can attest that he exists. Since wheels are made to order, it's hard to predict and publish the weight of the wheels.
Take this information as you'd like. The wheels are manufactured in China and they offer near endless customization with design, color, and finishes. It's what made it appealing...
Thank you for the deep dive!
FWIW, I was able to buy through Ravenol direct (last year, anyway) through their US website:
https://ravenol-usa.com/en
Unfortunately I haven't had the time or motivation to change fluids yet, factory fluid has been expectedly sufficient for my use.
Not a super popular one but Ravenol MTF-2 75W-80 comes in at:
Viscosity at 100 °C mm²/s 9,1
Viscosity at 40 °C mm²/s 50,8
Roughly equivalent to the one step thicker fluids
I'm assuming you had an OG but you'll forget all about the M2 as you drive this platform more. At the same time, there will be days when you miss some of the excitement of the 6 cylinder and rwd antics.
That explains it, I missed that detail on your tire width.
I was running 275/35 PS4S and getting slight rubbing on the other edges of the tire. This was on a 19x9.5 rear wheel with +35 offset.
Back to stock tires in the meantime but I'm be trying it again with a more aggressive alignment...
If you're just dailying the car I'd be wary of the suspension mods because some R owners are already complaining about the OEM ride quality. We don't know what your tolerance level is for NVH but for every suspension bit you replace, that's another potential to add NVH. I reckon you'd be able to...
Not to get technical but you don't necessarily *have to* remove the ECU, that's just the easiest and quickest way to access the filter for service. The alternative is to remove the entire filter box from the hose side but that's a lot more trouble, in my opinion.
To answer your question...
Bro, are you me?
Trying to figure out new method to heat up the garage space also (currently running a propane heater). Your mod path is basically what I did/have planned. Steering recall letter received this week but I'll likely bring it in in the spring once I mount the summers and new...
Figured I'd update the gang since my AEM dry filters came in. In short, it ain't happenin'. The filter base is way too big to fit into the front opening no matter which way I tried to orient it, the only way to service the filter is through the access panel (and removing the ECU in the process)...
