It adds a tiny bit of induction noise, but honestly, I can't even remember what it sounded like with the stock filter. I mainly got it so that I could clean it easily and not have to keep buying OEM ones.
Nope, I went to a couple track days and decided to focus on beefing up my braking system. Bought some girodiscs, Project Mu pads, and changed the fluid to DOT4.
Did my first ever track day at Laguna Seca! I was running completely stock, except for PRL rigid collars and Project Mu brake pads. Got in 6 12-minute sessions, had zero overheating issues. Can't wait to go again.
I agree, my car is still mostly stock. I just don’t like how the stock tube has that diverted bend with the hole.
My car is almost entirely stock, with the exception of lowering springs. I just don't like how the stock inlet pipe has a diverter hole, and wanted to replace it.
I've owned oiled filters on my prior cars and I don't want to do the cleaning and maintenance for those. I'm happy with my aFe dry drop-in filter, but I would like to get a nice inlet pipe for the aesthetics.
