They are. Eventually you will see a lot of them for sell on Carvana and Car Max just like the FK8. A lot of people with deep pockets buy things because they want to be the first only to realize they purchased the wrong car for them when a Basic Tesla Model 3 blows their doors off.
I just want to point out that a lot of people who are buying this at $70k+ will make up what they paid in Market Adjustment by making You Tube videos. I dont blame them for spending this much on the CTR. I've been waiting to purchase CTR since 2017 all because I didn't want to pay Market...
I missed out on the previous gen because I didn't want to pay a markup, $5k markup was a no go for me, then the CTR just kept going up in value and I missed the boat.
I will say, pay what you feel comfortable paying. The car won't lose it's value, especially this one that is a bit more subdued...
I mean I'm not even sure why they announce MSRP's on any car nowadays. Just say "whatever the dealer wants to sell it for". Seriously, this particular dealer has more than 10 in stock, not in transit, in stock. Does the Si really use that many chips that it's in shortage?
$39K plus Taxes its roughly $42K. Go ahead and buy it so you can be the "first" for about a day. Then go back to the dealer and trade it in so you can get an offer of $20k. I can't believe a Civic is selling for that much lmao
I'm more concerned over the exterior styling than the HP numbers. The numbers are where they are supposed to be and I wouldn't be surprised if they are sandbagging the numbers so owners are happy when taking delivery. Stand-by for the "Civic Si makes more power than advertised" YT videos.
Well if they keep watering down the Si I agree that they will eventually just get rid of it or let Acura carry on with it in the Integra. I still dont understand why they dont make an Si hatch. I know people will say because of the Type R, but again I disagree. The WRX and Sti made it work...
The end of manuals maybe. I dont see this as the last Si. Yes they will have an all electric Civic as an option, but he Si will charge on. The Integra won't cut into Civic sales just like it never cut into Civic sales when it was around in the past. EV will most likely come to the higher...
