Hey everyone,

Vincent here President and owner of 27WON Honda Performance. If you are new to the Honda platform and just getting into the 11th gen then you should check out our about us page here and my other blog right here so you can get to know us. If you have been following us along for a while then hello and welcome back.

We picked up our 11th gen about 5 weeks ago now from the creation of this post and are already diving deep into the R&D of the new chassis. We have some big plans for this new car and are planning to create a lot of aftermarket parts like an intake, intercooler, exhaust, and more. While my team and will be writing up tons of design blogs on the new car and what will be happening I wanted to create this thread to share any of the unique interesting things we find along the way. This thread will focus on the unique things we discover as we dive deeper into the engine. No major order will follow here but we will share what we find and what we think you might like to know.

If you have questions on things you want to know along the way be sure and drop them below.

For starters check out our new car already on the dyno so we can get some baseline numbers.

It sure seems like they did. Every major tester of the 2016 Touring basically saw 6.8 or less to 60.

Alex on Autos in his review made repeatable runs in L at 6.6 seconds every time.

The 11th is testing at a second slower.
It seems like it. The 10th gen was underrated (174 hp @ crank) and the 11th overrated at 180 hp (crank). I was hoping for the opposite due to being a new gen but reality tells a different story. Hondata dyno seems to point to more hp gain over baseline for the 11th (vs 10th gen gain over baseline).

Fun fact. The OEM turbo on these cars is manufactured by IHI. No longer MHI. Honda went away from MHI as a supplier. We think it was due to some reliability issues. Why do you guys think it was?

I think MHI probably shut down the production plant for turbos since they are now banking on EV.
