Oh I totally understand that. It just is kinda crazy they can't get the 2D profile of the die cut tape dialed in before production. That seems like the easiest part of this complicated geometry.

I also don't get why they can't just use thin sealing washers around the holes if the whole point is to prevent water getting into the wing.

Yeah, I totally agree! Die cutting the tape should’ve been the easiest thing! There’s definitely some attention to detail issues here. The boss at Adro likely said ā€œIt’s good enough. Ship it! We’ll deal with the minor fallout later.ā€ I bet they won’t have these problems a bit further in production. The early adopter penalty can really suck sometimes.

I just received the front Adro Lip idk if I want to drill holes on the lip and bumper. maybe extra heavy duty double sided tape?

If the lip is designed to be installed via hardware + double sided tape I would not recommend double sided tape only. If you're not interested in drilling holes, get a lip that doesn't require it.
