Seemingly was working fine since I picked up the car, but on Thursday (2 weeks exactly since I got it) it stopped. The message comes up that it is temporarily disengaged due to warmup/charging despite driving for enough time to have a fully charged battery and warmed up engine. I drove it up to 30 minutes a couple times. Measured the battery voltage this morning after sitting all night and it was 12.5 or 12.7, can't remember exactly. Running at idle and warm this afternoon is was 14.48. I've seen it shut off for those legit reasons the past two weeks, and also for climate control, but I keep trying it with CC off and still not working. I can manually turn the system off and on with the button, but that makes no difference when it is set to on.
I know most of you would be happy about this, but if there is a sensor error in the car it needs to be fixed. I am getting no CELs or any warnings of anything amiss. Plus, this is my first car with this system and I'm not convinced either way yet.
Is anyone else having an issue?

Yesterday my engine shut down on auto stop, within 5 seconds it restarted on its own for no apparent reason. I wish it just wouldn't shut down rather than doing that, it can't be that efficient if it restarts seconds after shutting down.

Thank you for the reply. I understand the parameters under which the system is disabled. It's my belief the when the car meets the proper circumstance to enable the system, it is not functioning and displays the message that it needs charging or warming. I have, over the first 2 weeks of ownership, witnessed the system functioning properly, not since Thursday however.

Itā€™s a brand new car, take it to your dealer and have them troubleshoot if you suspect a malfunction. Get a free car wash for your troubles of having to make a special trip.

Took it to the dealer yesterday, after quite a long time spent with it, they agree it should be working and wanted more time to find out why it isn't. No fault codes show up. I'm in a rental for the moment...

Dealer said the battery was the problem. I read a several year old post on an Odyssey forum saying the same thing. He had several batteries installed. Dunno, it's better than a CVT Corolla rental! I guess I'll just start turning it off and not worry about it...

So can we not have the ac on and auto stop on? I live in florida where the AC is needed 24/7 and notice it only works when I have the AC off.

Well yeah, it can work with the A/C on but the parameters don't work so well with Florida weather, the difference between outside and inside temps, the humidity, etc. and other factors don't seem to allow it to work very much in hot Florida temps. Maybe on those rare cool days down there. It is like the auto-stop not working often in frigid Canadian winter weather, quite often it won't work here when it is too cold, same effect but totally different weather but with similar parameters calling the shots.

Update pt2!
It's been working properly since I got it back from the dealer until Saturday. I had the car on with the engine off in the garage listening to music for a bit and decided to top off the battery with my Battery Tender. For whatever reason, that causes the AIS to show the message of needing to warm up or charge. I can't imagine why this is, but it is. I disconnected the negative terminal for a couple minutes and today it works. I'm sure this is what caused the issue in the first place.

This was one of the worst tech decisions on Honda's part. Annoying af and I'm guessing it cuts the starter/battery life down drastically on a vehicle that already has horrible batteries to begin with.

Thatā€™s why I canā€™t understand why having it on a tender disables the system.
