Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

I have no idea lol.. Such a mess with this process in Canada. Like others have said, dealers are playing games with the waiting list and such..

I guess you are both in list no. 1-3 thats why they were ordered almost at the same time?

i’m 6th here in BC and he (BC Sales) just told me they are only getting 3 next year. Still waiting for their response if my DP is with them or already ordered in Honda Canada.

after the sighting at WW, i called them yesterday, asking if I can just come and see it if it hadn't been picked up already but they just deferred me to Jeff who of course never got back to me. so hard to just to see it in flesh. sigh

I’m having the same issue but in AB Dealer. They were so dodgy to me, even in call or message.

Kinda surprise they immediately saw that you have 2 DP. I guess its because they are both in BC. I’ll update you guys if I get the same fate as you.

I wish I was either told earlier that I have 2 deposits and I need to cancel one. If it came down to selling to people locally and they told me earlier, I would withdraw my deposit at the dealer on the Island. The other disappointing thing (same as you), no communication, no updates on what is happening at WW since April.

I haven't talked to anybody at WW yet. I've emailed Honda Canada a email about the situation. I wonder if they will reinstate me....

ya i hope they ccan help you out in some way. i wish WW was a bit better at communication, all the info I got is from a new guy I met who is an existing FK8 owner who bought there, and he recently put a deposit, and was told a whole lot more than I ever got.

3 of us here from BC are having a rough time rn. I guess coz we can just be easily replaced from the list. FL5 is kinda high demand here in BC specially LM. Kinda sucks

Guess the cancelled order confirmed what I posted last. I was the guy who tried to place a 2nd deposit but the other AB dealership didn't let me when I mentioned I already had a deposit elsewhere. Luckily I mentioned it to them and didn't put it in. Good luck y'all. I think it's safe to have your name on the lists, just don't have multiple deposits.

As an update, the car I ordered in on the lot but I haven't bought it yet. OTD 65k with accessories and forcing me to trade in my car for about 4-6k under market value. Haven't said yes to the deal but also negotiating with a dealership for a 2020 FK8 for 50k with a 25k offer for my trade in instead. All said and done for now it's a difference of either 15-20k ish for me to get the FL5 vs the FK8. Honestly might go with the latter but I'll see how negotiations go today.

Anyone have any strong opinions on the FK8 vs FL5? I think I'd love both either way despite owning an FK7, but don't know if I'd love the FL5 that much more for 20k extra

Someone at Precision Honda in Mississauga, ON took delivery of theirs already. I didn't get to see this car but it was posted on TorontoCarSpotting FB page.
