Never experienced that myself. I'd check the battery connections.

A flashing check engine light indicates a misfire. If it was a one off thing that has not returned, perhaps you had some bad fuel in the car at the time. Assuming you had 91 octane to begin with, there was less margin of error compared to most that are able to use 93.

I just experienced this driving into work this morning. Hiccup with a check engine light and battery light. Both pretty quickly turned off. I was going to check and see if there were any pending codes when I get home. Car has close to 4000 miles as well.

Just experienced this at 3.5k. It was a 92F day in SoCal. Did you have any follow up on this? Slightly concerning, but nothing too bad. Drove home afterwards, found nothing of concern upon inspecting the battery or other connections at a glance.

Hasn't happened again to me. I'm just assuming it got some bad gas. Have an autoparts store check and see if any codes logged or use your own code reader. I personally use a Carista adapter paired with OBD Fusion on my phone.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. My neighbor has a machine since he works at a shop near by. I'll give it a look. Man, the one time I'm caught off guard and not going to my usual spot for a fill-up...
