I have a feeling that powertrain won’t be in the North American Civic given it could make it faster than the Si/Integra

This is the powertrain the Base Integra should have had to further differentiate it with the Civic, IMO.

Just saw the actual one at Bangkok Motor Show. We've got a sedan here instead of hatch.

Honda Thailand said it comes with 2.0L LFC2 powertrain (different from Hybrid Accord and CR-V, not sure if there's a change in total power output or not)

Unfortunately I can't reach the car due to that area being full of press for today, will be back to check it another day.

This powertrain is probably alot less fun than the 1.5T.
Maybe it's to 0-60 quicker than the Si, but i doubt it's the same fun driving experience, as the engine has to rev in high rpm to produce enough electric power for the electric motors.

I hope we get the sedan, it would make for a great replacement of the Insight.

I'm italian but i love Honda's manual gearbox! :( I was a 8th's Civic FK3 owner (2.2 i-CTDI) and
unfortunately i wished for manual transmission for my next Honda.

Honda has released a teaser image and video that provides the first glimpse of the all-new Civic Type R production car, spacebarcounter.us ahead of its world premiere on Thursday July 21, 2022. New Honda Civic Hybrid Looks Like A Perfect Insight Replacement. It's coming to the US, just a matter of time (2023?). EU will get it first. The Civic-based Insight ends production after 2022, and Honda will focus on hybrid versions of its core models. The Honda Insight, a hybridized version of the 10th-generation Civic, will end production in June 2022.

"EU will get it first" has it already.
I will try to get a test drive next week at my local Honda dealer. As far as other people already drove it, many people say it drives a bit like a electric car (as the main engine driving the wheel is the electric one like on the Insight) and 0-60 is under 7 sec.
