FL5 Type R Key Fob

Hi guys! Do you know if the key fob of the base Civic works on the 2023+ type R? I know the Type R part number is 72147-T60-X01 and these go for $280 at best. The base civic/accord key is the 72147-T43-A01 and those can be had for $50... I don't mind that the trunk button looks a bit different, just wanted to confirm that it will be able to be programmed to the type R. Thanks!

It may be best to contact the dealership to ask since they will perform the programming. If you want a "second opinion" it would be helpful to call a few dealerships.
