Easier to unplug tbh. The module itself seems to be the same one pioneered by the newer nsx - sound and all. A quick Google search doesn't show any info about them sounding different/being quieter from one model to the next. Just how loud it is due to cabin insulation/sound deafening.

There's this thread tho that points to the DE5 being quieter than the FL5, but also said one doesn't work in the other?

I can confirm no codes are thrown by unplugging the active sound module - When I was swapping mine I tried with it removed, simply no active sound if that's what you're looking for.

As for the sound difference between the Si and Integra modules, if you look up POV drives from each it'll give you a good reference. The difference is mainly in Sport mode, where the Si's active sound is significantly louder and instant if that makes sense. In both cars its volume is relative to throttle pedal position, so you'll notice flooring the Si in Sport gives the full sound right away and is louder through the rev range, while the Integra module is much more subtle and mostly comes in once the turbo fully spools, unlike the Si where you can quite literally play it like an instrument with your right foot lol.

Here are two POVs from Winding Road Magazine which I find to be a great reference for any car:

Si (5:30 Sport launch-ish):

Integra (7:25 Sport launch):

Let me know if you decide you want the Integra module, whatever you'd like to pay, I just want it out of my parts bin at this point haha
