Full Race 2017-2018 Honda Civic Type-R Silver Intercooler with Bumper Support Beam and Piping is the most important upgrade for turbocharged engines. Also known as the ‘CAC’ (Charge Air Cooler) – the colder the charge air temp the better your chances of preventing knock. Under boost, the plastic crimped OEM intercoolers can reach 190-220F at max load. With only the Full-Race Intercooler upgrade installed, temps can drop 90 degrees with inlet temps at or near ambient. We use the largest and most efficient 4″ thick bar-and-plate intercoolers that can fit the FK8.
