Issue using spacers on the sport and touring wheels…???

I took this picture at work today of a sport wheel, and noticed the hub recess’s are very shallow. Looks to be less than 1/4” inch

I know in some cases, the oem lugs poke thru past the spacer and sits in these recessed slots.

Anyone running spacers and had any issues? If so, what size spacer and brand?

This way I can hopefully avoid buying something thats wrong out the gate ??‍

I had that on my S2000 oem wheels when running spacers with integrated studs, I had to drill out some additional space which worked , I think I had to go 3-5 mm deeper. I just put some dark grease on the protruding studs, then mated up the wheels to mark the areas to be drilled on the hub mating surface. Then I just drilled some deeper holes in the touch spots.

I have 20 mm spacers on my 10th gen. The old protruding studs definitely dug into the back of my wheels when I torqued em down. I probably should've drilled them out, but oh well, no harm no foul. I've been running like this for 2 years with no other issues besides ugly gashes on the backside of the wheels.

It's never too late, just get a metal drill bit of the biggest size you can find and drill out some metal. Hopefully your wheels are mounted flush against the hub, I would be concerned that the back of the wheel isn't flush up against the hub ?

On my 10 gen type r I just trimmed a few mm off the studs. No problemo plenty of stud length to spare.
