Hello,

Im currently looking forward to upgrading my LPFP. However, I’m having some difficulties with finding the best one as I’ve been running into a few of them on the net (AEM, Hondata, etc.)

Backstory: I currently have these parts installed in combination with a custom tune: Eventuri Intake, RV6 R660 AS Turbo, PRL Charge Pipes, PRL Intercooler, Pracworks Intake Manifold, Dream Catless Downpipe, Spoon N1 Muffler Kit (Exhaust)(Small Resonator Deleted), Fuel: 92Octane(10%Ethanol)

Goals: Looking forward to making the most power possible on 92Oct. Depending on how far I go, in the future I may consider doing a Flex Fuel Kit to run E30-E85 but as of now (due to my location and circumstances) no.

For those who may ask, no HP or TQ numbers atm. Haven’t hoped on a Chassis Dyno just yet but will do when I have the time.

How was the Pracworks install? I was thinking of getting that. I guess a special tune is needed for that mod.

It was a kinda difficult honestly. As I am with all my installs, I take my time to get everything right. However, taking my time installing the manifold took me around 3 days to install. Tuning wise, I didn’t need a tune, nor am I aware of a special tune for it. However, I eventually got a custom tune months later with all my parts

Id say if e85 is ultimately your goal, you are going to want the Full Race HPFP, Hondata 1530cc injectors, and the DW300C LPFP. Along with a CanFlex of course to read the ethanol levels. If you only did a LPFP, it would do practically nothing for you.

Full Race HPFP and Hondata 1530cc injectors is solid. I believe you will not exceed the OEM LPFP capability, but instead you will exceed the 92 fuel octane capability first. You will be able to run a decent amount of ethanol with it, but you'll eventually reach the OEM LPFP capability probably close to 550-600 whp?

People tend to overestimate the sotck LPFP. I benched mine against the DW300C and W535, It flows good unrestricted but the Fl5 runs a very high base pressure and the fuel lines are somewhat small so what happens after 400-420whp is that the pressure will start dropping, and this can damage your HPFP due to cavitation.

THe DW300C is a proven solution and it´s also very easy to install.

Another thing to consider is that the OEM fuel system relies on part of the fuel flow to feed the venturi system that pumps fuel from the tank to the pump basket.

When the pressure form the fuel pump starts dropping the venturi stops working and that can cause starvation on a long pull or when cornering at the track.

So ALWAYS run a pump that exceeds your requirements so you have the extra juice to feed the venturi system.
