Hey guys

Has anyone added a more accurate oil temperature sensor yet?

Were you able to see a difference compared to the factory-installed sensor?

How reliable is the information provided by the stock sensor?

Happy accelerations to all

A couple people havce installed aftermarket oil cooler kits that have a provisioin for oil temps. The LogR system is calculated value based on an algorithm Honda designed it doesn't actually take oil temps. Best way to be certain is to install an oil cooler kit that has a provision for an oil temp sensor.

Ok. so the temps shown by the Log R are not accuratte? They are an estimate of the temperature

In that case, perhaps the estimate is intentionally "higher" so the driver can take precautions before causing irreversible damage.

This last part is just my own thought.

Thats correct Honda is very conservative with the displayed figure, which encourages drivers to be more cautious.
