Does part number 08P01-T47-100 fit the FL5? I ask because College Hills Honda says no via their site? But Honda OEM Parts Online says it does fit. It conflicting.

Meanwhile, Mugen's bumper protector shows it works for all 11th Gen Civics which leads me to believe the OEM would work on the FL5.

Hi.
The answer is: Kinda.
I have this rear bumper protector. I bought it for this exact purpose, because I did'nt want the little strip of weak sauce PPF back there.

In reality, no, it doesn't fit correctly. Check it out...

It is the lip that hangs over the back of the bumper. The lip has a smooth contoured bend while the bumper of the FL5 drops at a sharp angle.

In this photo, you can see the overhang of the protector's lip that is elevated away from the rear of the bumper...

Can the Reggie Civic protector be installed on the Type R?
Yes.

Should it be installed on the Type R?
In my opinion: No.

I hope that helps.
Cheers.

I heard it's plastic, then you can use a heat gun or hair blower to bend the edge to perfect angle.

I'm going to install a after-market one ($9) on my white FL5. After rain the rear bumper will be very dirty (black dirt on white), more noticeable than other part of the body. Not only protect the paint, I more concern the dirty.

Yes, the Civic Hatchback bumper protector is plastic, so in theory, it could be bent with a heat gun for improved fitment on the FL5.
If you or someone you know is very experienced with heating and reshaping plastic, it could be worth a shot.
My guess is, though, that you will only get one shot.

Let us know what aftermarket bumper protector you get, if you get one.

Cheers.

I will install this one, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZ3HJ27N?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
I bought a similar one from Temu before for $6, installed on Prius Prime, works/looks very well.

Ahh, nice. So this one is solid rubber. Looks like a good option.
