I'm running into a bit of an issue with my 2017+ Type R Americas (OG) FlashPro on my 2024 FL5 Civic Type R, and I'm hoping someone with more Hondata experience can help me understand what's happening.
Current setup:
I followed the button sequence exactly as described:
However, when I took the car for a drive, I noticed that I could still switch between the five maps of TSP1 using the cruise control buttons. That confused me because I expected the FlashPro to have loaded the factory calibration from Slot 2, which I assumed wouldn't have the TSP map switching functionality.
When I got back home, I connected the FlashPro to both my laptop and the car. The software displayed a message stating something along the lines of "The last upload was successful."
At this point, I'm trying to understand what actually happened and whether I'm misunderstanding how the FlashPro handles multiple calibrations.
I have a few questions:
1. Why am I still able to switch between the five maps after I thought I had flashed the factory calibration from Slot 2? Where can I see what is the current calibration on my ECU?
2. I'm unable to download the calibration that's currently on the ECU because the Online → Download option is grayed out, even though the FlashPro is connected to both the laptop and the vehicle. Is there a reason this option would be disabled?
3. What is the exact difference between:
4. When I try to upload a different calibration from my laptop to the FlashPro (with the FlashPro connected only to the laptop and not the car), I receive the following error:
At this point, I'm not sure whether the FlashPro is behaving normally, or whether something isn't configured correctly.
I'd really appreciate any insight from those who have experience with these kind of issues.
Current setup:
- 2017+ Type R Americas FlashPro
- TSP Stage 1 tune
- FlashPro has two calibrations loaded (I verified double checked it):
- Slot 1: TSP Stage 1 tune
- Slot 2: 2023+ FL5 Factory Settings calibration
I followed the button sequence exactly as described:
- Press and keep holding the Datalog button.
- While holding it, press and hold the Program button for about 2 seconds.
- Release the Program button.
- Release the Datalog button.

- Online → Return ECU to Stock, and
- flashing the 2023+ FL5 Factory Settings calibration that's stored in Slot 2 of the FlashPro?

Is this expected behavior when the FlashPro isn't connected to the vehicle, or could it indicate a configuration or licensing issue?"This FlashPro can only be used with Civic Type R 2017+ Americas vehicles. The current vehicle is unknown."
At this point, I'm not sure whether the FlashPro is behaving normally, or whether something isn't configured correctly.
I'd really appreciate any insight from those who have experience with these kind of issues.
