I'm waiting on my retrofit also! I am mad excited. I had to bug the crap out of him for like 2 weeks before he could get to me. I should have mine in the next couple weeks. I am going to get everything I can out of this stock clutch before I rip that crap out. I may look into the PRL flex fuel kit after W1 turbo. I feel like I want the turbo first.
I messed with the 23# basemap a lot. I've thought of getting the kit TSP has that I thought came with the stage 2.. but then just going to the ethanol enable version of the 23# basemap, dialing down boost under 4000 RPM to flatten the torque spike then removing the 23 to 21# taper up top. Sad thing is, the TSP Stage 1 is so good, it's matching the 23# basemap+ethanol enable pretty well.

11th Gen Honda Civic Turbo Spool rate question TSP1vs23psiFlex

I bet between a couple pounds of boost and some more timing (ethanol enable maps give +5 max if youre running enough ethanol) you can wake the top end a bit more to set it apart from TSP Stage 1. I'd like a little more up top if it's there. I don't really want anymore midrange. Really... another turbo is inevitable if I keep the car long enough but that's still a ways off. It'd make power how and where I'd want.

FWIW; a FBO/TSP Stage 2 car on E smokes a FBO/W1 car on 91oct.

Right, I am just a little nervous about going that extra mile. "Trigger warning" When people throw rods, seems like the flex fuel is always a part of the conversation. Still a lot of unanswered questions out there about limits. I am thinking of having the W1/FBO/flex fuel and a conservative custom tune. Trying the stay on the safe side while also having a glorified SI.

That is a valid concern, but I've never heard of any cars running TSP Stage 2 and blowing their motor.

Edit: @joshhjackson2112 I also just remembered that Derek recently updated the tune to limit the low end torque a little bit more. People who purchased it a while back have the option of keeping the original version, or emailing Derek for the updated version. But anyone who purchases the tune now will get the newer, safer version.
