Hi everyone I am looking to get some help/direction here on what to me doesn’t seem like normal operation of the car to me. I’m not very familiar or can even really pinpoint the issue I’m having with my FL5. Only mods I have done to the car are PRL intake and exhaust fuse mod (where it’s open all the time), but other than that no other modifications at the time of these videos, not tuned or no down pipe, etc. I have gone in and reinstalled the PRL intake (street MAF) and made sure I didn’t have loose connections/leaks anywhere. Also had a technician friend look and we’ve both concluded that it has been installed correctly, or at least to the best of our ability.
The first video off acceleration the car will enter vacuum and then pull itself out of vacuum slightly, and I don’t know if that is normal? It doesn’t feel like normal engine braking to me at least, it feels like slight or subtle deceleration. Getting back on the accelerator there is a slight hesitation before it feels like it’s accelerating. I’ve had the car go through a Honda dealership and see if the fuel trims are off or unusual but according to them, those are fine and dandy. The only interesting thing we saw was that the throttle body would open back up after letting off the accelerator for a short duration of time and then slowly return to its idle state.
The second video only happens in reverse. When the car is revved, it will hang the revs for a brief moment and then fall back down to idle. I was not moving at the time of recording, but I definitely don’t think that is normal. Almost seems as if the throttle body is stuck for a brief period?
All in all, I don’t know if any of this is normal but was looking for some help on where to look next or what to do. I hope some of this makes sense, and I am sorry I am not able to provide any datalogs of anything at this time. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hope you all can provide some insight.
