Windshield replacement seal/help

Hey everyone. I am getting my windshield replaced. Going OEM through insurance and a buddy’s shop is doing it, problem is we got my window out and when putting the seals on for the new one the top one does not match up, has anyone had there’s replaced and ran into this issue? The part number is correct however it is not the same as what came off, it does not kind of cover of the top of the glass. Curious if anyone has had there’s replaced and maybe I just got a mismanaged part or what. The left seal is correct and you can see it kind of sits on top of the glass, right is what they gave us. Leaves a gap at the top of the glass to the roof.

I had my windshield replaced after 250 miles. I didn’t recall the installers having any issues with the seals and I’m 100% it was the OEM windshield and seal.

Does the seal sit flush with the glass at the top or does it leave a little tunnel?

Looks like it sits on top with a gap that’s filled in.
