This. It doesn’t matter that the windshield was made in China or India or wherever (as others have pointed to). These countries know how to make windshields. They’ve been doing it for many years. There’s definitely something to be said about the quality decline post pandemic + the need for more specialized glass that doesn’t interfere with the car’s sensors. My car, as well as many who got 2023 MY, have white streaks in the glass on both the front and back windshields. You have to look for them to find them, but I’ve never seen such a thing on any other car’s glass before…at least none that I’ve personally owned. They’re even more noticeable after tinting. Here’s a pic of the mark in my front glass (passenger side). They’re like white, milky, streaks. It doesn’t really bother me as they’re not noticeable unless actively looking for them (and they’re not obstructing my line of sight), but I think it’s definitely indicative of a problem.This is not it. Quality across the board is down thanks to supply chain and skill disruptions from COVID. We will see these issues for years.
The other little specs are just dust. I accidentally left my garage open on a very windy night a few days ago.
