Spoon Air Cleaner / Filter Installed on FL5 Type R (DIY + Sound Clip Video)

Had the Spoon Air Filter arrive a little quicker than anticipated so went ahead and installed it.

Wanted a bit more noise from the intake having come from the Eventuri on the FK8.

This filter was only chosen due to the fact that I could have it clean without having to re-oil again and while it is excessively more expensive than the K&N etc this was a good buying point for myself.

Noise = Yes
Response = Yes
Earth Shattering Performance = No

It is different, however there are several options in the $40-50 price range at this point. No hate on the Spoon filter though.

You could have gotten a Sprint P08 filter for about half the price. Sprint produces these filters for Spoon and just puts a Spoon logo on them. And these filters are great to clean. Basically blow them out the opposite direction of flow with compressed air, then put it back in.

Yes aware of that, this was a gift from a close friend in Japan
