Interesting, I've seen mixed info on reddit. Apparently right after the tariff announcement, DHL was charging crazy fees no matter what, but UPS and FedEx were not. I have seen a lot of posts about people ordering and staying under de minimis $800 and having no duties or tariffs. Sounds like a crap shoot for now, maybe you get lucky, maybe not. I've been on the fence about ordering wheels, maybe I will order one at a time a week apart

I ordered some wheels with them in March. With the uncertainty of the tariffs, I requested to cancel the order. They replied that there is a 10% fee to cancel. I wonder if I should just eat the 10%?

They seem to be working with people, I would ask if they could make it two seperate orders and undercharge on the invoice to stay under 800. As far as I am aware Japan still has the 800 deminimus, only China does not.

Ouch...More taxation for nothing. I hope trade agreements get resolved soon to be fair on both sides.

I think the way GoTuning/SpoonUSA is handling this is the best way to do it given the uncertainty right now. We all know this will be short-lived (hopefully) so it doesn't make sense to raise the retail price on an already luxury item.

FYI - I just discovered GoTuning/Spoon Sports USA is charging tariffs (partially) at POS.

I’m not an expert but I’m pretty sure they’re just hosing you for an extra 10%

I don’t think the seller collects any tariffs, that happens during the physical import process at the port right?

GoTuning/Spoon Sports USA is U.S.-based, so I don't think this is a straight-up money grab. Ultimately, they are the importer vs. the customer being the importer if purchasing directly via BHJ, RHDJapan, or a similar outfit.

ohhhh got it that makes sense. If they are in US then they pay tariff at import and absorb a little. I was still thinking direct from Japanese company
