I haven't cleaned my wheels yet and I'm looking for a safe and effective solution. My wheels are ceramic coated and appear to be matte black. I've found that Chemical Guys Diablo Gel wheel cleaner is advertised as safe for all wheels. What do you recommend?

My wheels are also ceramic coated and I rotate P&S Brake Buster Total Wheel Cleaner and TUGA Devil Special Wheel Cleaner. P&S is very good, but the TUGA Devil is the best wheel cleaner I've ever used. It's quite expensive so I don't use it every wash.

I bought the chemical guys citrus wheel cleaner and that has worked flawlessly.

I also use the total extract tire & wheel cleaner, and the blue guard wet looking dressing from them to clean the tires and apply shine and both has worked wonders. I feel like just about any wheel cleaners fine, what matters more is your technique and the different brushes you have that allow to get all inside and around the wheel. I used a few different wheel cleaners back to back and didn't never noticed a huge difference.

I have some of the Meguiar's acid free wheel cleaner. I was going to use that and it had something in there about not using it on anodized wheels, same with Adams. I thought I read something about the FL5 wheels being anodized so I didn't want to use them. I ended up with a Chemical Guys wheel cleaner and it worked fine, but the sprayer nozzle is crap. It's a tight stream no matter what setting I use.

I been using Dr Beasley’s Matte Wheel Cleaning Kit, you’ll be able to not only clean your rims, but protect them from future damage as well.

My personal favorite is P21S, but I would be willing to bet that most (if not all) wheel cleaners from reputable brands would be fine. I have used the Diablo gel wheel cleaner on the Type R as well and it was fine!

I used Adam's graphene when I first got the wheels so depending on what level of clean I may do as little as a wet towel wipedown or when they get really dirty I spray on Adam's W&T and follow up with an Iron Remover. A good barrel brush helps but I also use a glove to get in there.

I use Koch Chemie Mwc on dry wheels, wait 5 min then pressure wash. Then use Koch Chemie Gsf + Gs with micro fiber mitt + Barrel Blade - Microfiber Wheel Brush - Flat Head. The combo works wonder ;)
