How to clean and get bugs out of inter cooler from Highway Driving ?

I know this has been brought up before and apologize for asking again. Any good way to clean all the dead bugs off the inter cooler from summer driving. I am getting most out from washing, but not all.

That’d be helpful to know if there are and tips/tricks. Some bugs really get lodged in there and don’t wash out as easily as one would hope.

I've just been grabbing a stick from the yard, poking it through the holes and scraping the bugs off. Works for me

Hose or pressure washer nozzle through the grill and spray as much of it as you can. That seems to work alright for me.

You have to be really careful when cleaning it. I asked this question before and remember people telling me that the metal interlinkings are incredibly weak and you never want to directly spray water on it becuase you can actually bend the metal from the water pressure. So you dont get up super close like to rinse it.

when i go to a carwash they spray the front end with some solution that rinses the bugs right off, it's a chemical solution if you look into that and see if it's safe to use, i agree that high pressure or scrubbing is too abrasive and damages the intercooler

1. Spray Bug/Tar remover. Let it soak for a bit.
2. Get you a horsehair radiator brush. Scrub
3. Hose off or pressure wash at a distance to avoid bending the fins.

I've always been worried that the fins will bend even more if I put a pressure washer to it, so I just leave it as is... Interested to see if you're able to clean it without damaging though!
