Washing the engine bay? The OEM intake does NOT have a drain!!!!

Got a bit too liberal when trying to remove the dirt and disease in the bay. I opened up the intake box and cleaned out all the water before starting the car. You've been warned !!!!!

I think there is a drain hole from what I remember...has a weird rubber reed looking thing and you can see it if you take that intake box out and look under it. maybe it's clogged

As an FYI, S100 motorcycle cleaner works excellent in engine bays. I dilute 50% with water, spray on with small hand bottle, and (after a couple minutes) lightly rinse off with a garden hose.
S100 is similar, but milder than Simple Green. S100 is easy on paint and other plastics from my experience. Available online or motorcycle shops. I've used it for over 30 years, so nothing new.
