  1. Interior noises - rattles, creaks, squeaks!

Finally figured out the rattle “clink” sound (when hitting a bump) occasionally coming from the trunk area after like 18 months of ownership. I did EVERYTHING I could think of to locate and eliminate the issue…except 1 fairly obvious thing! The “clink” was coming from the trunk latch! There...
  2. Audio Update, Bad News

This still may not be the perfect solution, but I wonder if you could swap-in the audio control unit Acura uses in the Integra. Perhaps it has more flexibility too??
  3. Acura Integra Damper Module

It certainly sounds like the steering modes may also controlled by the ADS…which I tend to agree with you, makes a lot of sense. Handling is both a product of steering and suspension setup (and wheels/tires of course). You track your car too, so I can certainly see why you’d be more sensitive to...
  4. Acura Integra Damper Module

@MooMoo Thanks! Weird…toward the beginning he said it affects suspension ONLY. Maybe he misspoke or forgot the detail that steering is also somehow affected (until later when explaining the customization settings). Note that the guy working the booth said he’s not technically inclined either. ...
  5. Acura Integra Damper Module

I don’t sense any difference in steering…but what you’re saying makes sense. I mean, steering feel is obviously affected by the suspension. As the suspension is a little softer (with the ITS ADS), then steering might feel a bit softer / slower even if it’s not actually slower.
  6. Is tuning required for high-flow intake?

A tune will void your warranty, but will maximize gains of bolt-ons. Bolt-ons alone (without a tune) are VERY unlikely to affect warranty unless they are the obvious cause of any problems.
  7. Worm Gear Recall Fix Reviews

I guess Honda is hoping only a small percentage of them are badly deformed, in which case the current fix will take care of the majority of others. For those who run into the problem again, because the gear is badly deformed, then perhaps the rack will be replaced (and would have the fix already...
  8. Yeaitsahonda’s FL5 Ownership Journal

@yeaitsahonda Did you ever get a chance to compare your oil temp gauge vs the estimated oil temp? Sorry if I missed it somewhere.
  9. Motor oil all over the engine bay - Best method to clean?

Brake clean…I put that shit on everything.? Wait, bad advice. That’s Frank’s Red Hot. Use that to clean your, uh, tailpipe.?
  10. HKS sema fl5 !

First one I’ve seen with Acura jewel headlights. Pretty cool!
  11. Dangers of driving in cold weather on the stock FL5 tires?

If you need to let the car sit for 2-3 weeks, it’s really not a problem. If you need to let it sit for 2-3+ months, store it properly. I’m sure Arkansas gets some chilly weather, but I don’t think it gets consistently cold enough (for a long enough duration) that you’d need to worry about it...
  12. FL5 Type R brake pedal rattle / knock

I’m no expert, but it seems like maybe something is loose in the brake pedal/lever somewhere and needs to be adjusted.
  13. Does Comfort Mode Completely Turns Off Active Engine Sound

Our ears are pretty sensitive to a certain range of sound (especially the human vocal range) and we can locate where those sounds are coming from quite easily. In this case, it’s super obvious that some sounds are coming from the door panels (especially when downshifting). It’s just weird and...
  14. Does Comfort Mode Completely Turns Off Active Engine Sound

Great video and I like his commentary.? I think removing the dash trim/control panel is unnecessary. I guess he just wanted to do extra disassembly and reassembly?
  15. Does Comfort Mode Completely Turns Off Active Engine Sound

The only known way to make 100% sure it is turned off is to disconnect it. With that said, I don’t hear it in Comfort (Engine Sound) mode…so I’ve left it connected. Is it possible it is still making some sounds? Yes. But if you don’t notice it, does it matter? Personally, the answer no.
  16. Help with first oil change

Read my posts. VERY RARELY do I take offense to anything nor get snarky toward anyone. I’m honestly confused and don’t understand your vagueness with me.
  17. Help with first oil change

Dude…you’re not making any sense. I understand you’re getting your well-used oil tested. What does this have to do with what I said…unless you believe your well-used oil will test the same as original oil that is practically new???? I honestly don’t understand what you’re getting at.?‍♂️
  18. Help with first oil change

LOL! I’m not sure why you’re reposting this in response to my post. I’m talking about something I had read like 4-6 months ago. Someone tested some of the original oil that was still relatively new…maybe 1000 miles or less on it. Jogging my memory, I think they also analyzed the original filter...
  19. Help with first oil change

I read something awhile back that actually the original oil is indeed different than just regular oil. Someone sent a sample out for testing which lead to finding that the first oil is a little different. Yes, you’re correct that it will have moly in it from engine assembly…BUT it also has more...
