Take me as a cautionary tale for sure. Feel free to try to figure out WHERE it is coming from but don't take any action, let the dealer or whoever handle it. If they mess it up it's on them and you're covered. I can live with the dash issue for the most part, especially if I can take the shine...
They've been there for a while (9 months?) because I was going nuts removing the AC grille assembly trying to find a buzz in there. Turns out the buzz was actually in my passenger A pillar and I messed up the vinyl for nothing ?
Be VERY careful. I know people say to just heat gun it all the time but you can go from "this seems ok" to "i've heated the grain right out of this" which is where I was a few weeks again. Thankfully I kinda restored the grain but the shine is driving me nuts.
I was able to heat gun some of the deformity and creasing out and then use a matched vinyl stamp to keep the texture but now it’s shiny and still not fully corrected. Before I mess it up worse I figure I should just pay a professional.
Hello!
I've got some dents in the vinyl on my dash from some work I did previously. I attempted to fix them myself and well, at this point I should probably just hand it over to some professionals. Anyone have experience with this or have any recommendations for this sort of work in the...
I wear pretty much only black denim and noticed today that my driver's seat is definitely dingy from dye transfer even though I prepped them with Gtechniq Tri-Clean and Smart Fabric the moment I got the car. Fingers crossed I can wash or steam clean the dye out.
From what I remember the Japanese alcantara boot assembly takes some modding because it is set up for right side drive and the boot assembly is not symmetrical. Definitely something you can use, but you have to do some light modding.
EDIT: This applies to buying the whole assembly. If that...
Hello all!
Has anyone replaced the pedals in their FL5? The stock ones are a bit simple and I wonder if I could swap them out with these other Honda OEM ones: https://www.hondafactoryparts.com/oem-parts/honda-pedals-sport-manual-8u74tea100a?origin=pla
Or if anyone has any third party...
Looking good! I'm running the same knob (ordered from Nengun) and I love it. On occasion I get tempted to run an Acuity Poco because I think it'd be even shorter but the Mugen feels so nice!
I'm looking at the ZR10s as well, so this is good to hear! What'd you lower them with? I'm thinking about putting Swift Springs on mine, but concerned about rub. And who did you order from for the Works?
I'm thinking about throwing some bronze D9Rs on my Champ White FL5, but I've had a hard time finding info on compatibility with the FL5 regarding brake clearance, etc. Looks like Work doesn't offer it in a higher offset than +38 so I'm expecting a little poke. Anyone running these or seen...
Ordered an ITS ADS unit from Acura Parts HQ this morning only for it to be cancelled due to backorder a few hours later. Anyone know a lead on where to snag the module? Should I just call local dealers? I’m in the ATL area.
I have the same issue as well. Someone else on here had the issue and getting them to replace the airbag assembly in the steering wheel fixed the issue. Something to do with the springs in it. My dealer ruled out it being the clock spring for me but I haven't had time to get my airbag unit...
Confirming this is faux carbon fiber right? I'm using a CF one right now and it kills my signal range. If so I'll need to see if there is anything else I want from Black Hawk...
