  1. Head to head comparison of “off the shelf” tunes for a stock fl5 coming soon. (UPDATED WITH INTERIM RESULTS)

I’m still struggling to find any videos on YouTube showing meaningful increases in acceleration to consider messing with the factory setup and possibly losing warranty. Lots of big dyno HP #’s have been posted but no side by side acceleration tests. Skeptical adding 50hp can make this car more...

YES! You’re going to love it! When u get there I’d push and say you’ll take the car home tonight if it’s $1500 over. Be ready to start walking. If it doesn’t go your way you could always take their $3k deal and pickup the car the next day Happy holidays
  5. FK8 Seats in FL5?

Same exact situation I had! One additional click upright and butt pushed back and the seats are sublime. These are definitely not, lean your seat back and one hand on top of the wheel cruising seats.
  6. The FL5 Dealer ADM Markup Thread

Yeah, those responses make sense. Help adjust the market price on an FL5 and buy something else. Every bit of lower demand will help bring down the price. Yours truly, Type R enthusiast
  7. FK8 Seats in FL5?

Maybe you already tried this but I’ve found the key to the FL5 seat is to ensure your backside is pushed all the way to where the seatback and seat cushion join. At that point there is lumbar support provided for the lower back. If you slide just a couple of inches forward than you lose the...
  8. 2023 Civic Type R FL5 - Reviews Compilation (Articles + Videos) āœšŸ» šŸŽ„

interesting the reviewer was so stuck on heated seats. They are cloth and warm upon their own just being against your clothing. Heated seats are a waste for cloth.Leather would be an entirely different story.

My favorite salesperson line is, ā€œYouā€˜re going to let this car get away for $200?ā€ Simply reply, ā€œYouā€˜re going to tank this deal for $200?ā€ ? We don’t need to spend the money but they certainly have to sell cars to make the money. The days of playing dealers are back. It’s nice to save...

Sounds really good at higher rpm, thanks for the video as this was the only exhaust I was interested in. At low rpm…………………….different story

ONE YEAR LATER owner review of the FL5. It was purchased with the goal of having a fun, year round daily to occasionally haul a family of four and keep for at least 4-6 years. Stats thus far Mileage: ~ 8500 Service: (4) engine oil changes, full brake fluid flush with better quality Motul 600...
  13. Seat Covers

Thanks to my Dream seat cover my passenger seat was spared when a bottle of apple juice leaked. I was extremely relieved to find the seat cover completely held the puddle of apple juice from leaking through. Dry on the bottom of the cover and the fabric on the seat completely dry as well. Was...
  14. What did you pay for your FL5?

Just a handful of Type R’s by me in a 50 mile radius. Seems less now than a few months back.
  15. Lane Keep CTR

Oh, you’re going to HATE IT! Good thing it can be turned off, thanks TypeRD for the vid.
  16. Lane Keep CTR

Thanks, can’t wait to start using the cruise control again!
  17. Lane Keep CTR

Radar cruise and lane keep suck on the Type R. Looked through the menu to try and turn off the radar portion of cruise but didn’t see anything. Anyone know if it can be turned off so I can just have normal cruise control? Amazing that highly paid software engineers were allowed to release the...
  18. FL5 Manual Transmission Fluid Exchange

Like TypeRD stated, shift into another gear like first or third and then it goes into reverse like butta. it’s a common trick. I do the same with my Corvette. Not unique to the Type R
