I don’t see the point of that statement, does that situation apply to you? In your other thread you said your other car was driven 800 miles/year.
If given the scenario of paying an extra ~4.2 cents/mile to enjoy the car with minimal knock, I think a lot of us would gladly pay that price.
IMO if that is the case then I don’t think a manual transmission vehicle is in your best interest unless you work on your leg strength.
You shouldn’t have to compromise comfort to enjoy a car if there isn’t something that just ergonomically/physically doesn’t work for you.

If you had no intent in selling the car, then why bother wasting their time? You got the car for the price you wanted, move on.
I've personally dealt with the two dealerships you mentioned. Couple of emails and maybe a short phone call or two, but that's it. I ended up giving my business...
