Well thats why the LX and EX exist. My hunch is that the average Sport buyer is someone in there 20s or 30s who likes the sportier looks of the Sport. Same deal with the Accord Sport...1600 for nicer wheels more content and better seats? Its a no brainer. The Sport is for the buyer who doesn't...
Well enthusiasts dont make up the majority of sales so there's that. Also considering the car is CVT only and the Sport trim is basically an appearance pkg, most buyers buying the Civic sedan are just looking for a good reliable sedan...the SI/Type R are for the "enthusiasts " I think Honda has...
I just took a travel position with my job in Indianapolis best believe Im gonna be on the lookout for the Civic hatch rolling around The NAP and Greensburg.
The Sport trim of just about every Honda model is the best seller (or number two to the LX) I don't see Honda dropping the Sport trim on the Civic hatchback. Honda just dropped the EX trim on the Accords and EXPANDED the Sport trims (Sport, Sport SE and Sport 2.0t)
I think if anything what...
Do you actually know this or is this an educated guess? So the Civic Sport hatch is gonna have the 2.0L? I guess that would make sense if an SI were offered with a higher tuned 1.5t. I just wish the hatch was keeping the 1.5t standard, the SI was getting a detuned 2.0t and the Type R was staying...
The Civic platform is global. Rather or not the SI is a North American exclusive trim level or not is moot IMO. For the most part, Honda has everything they need to build an SI hatch. The Hatchback's body...and whatever the SI Sedan's mechanicals will be. I also do not buy into the line that...
If they can manage to sell a Type R with only a low volume manual transmission they can sell a Si hatch with a manual as well. Honda can do it...people will buy it...they know it too...the question is do they want to do it.
I've seen this in a few videos as well. I mean people act like its a surprise that the Sedan no longer offers a manual transmission. The manual in the sedan has been gone since MY2020 anyway. Its not like the 9th gen offered the manual in anything above the LX either. The 10th generation...
Honda.ca has the 2022 Civic Colors/Trims up for the Canadian lineup (which will be different from the US lineup in a few ways)
Here is the Morning Mist Blue color:
Here is the Sonic Gray Pearl:
Here is Lunar Silver:
All three colors are very similar IMO...morning mist is like a mix of both...
