I’ve had the same thought process. BB was great as an exclusive colour, but now I think CW is the way to go. I think the heritage of the colour is part of what makes the Type R really special as well. Unless you really like another colour, I think that a special one such as CW will be the way to go.
Just put the deposit down, and they put an order into their system to be filled when it’s available. I asked about pricing and was told that they aren’t allowed to sell over MSRP. I was given a small discount on a previous order of an FK8 at the beginning of this year (was unable to secure one...
From the last set of spy shots, you could barely make out “265/30/19” on the tires. So that’s at least what they had on when testing at the Nurburgring.
My favourite part of that review is Doug talking about all the "stupid non functional aero bits" then commenting about how it feels surprisingly stable at high speed... because the aero is functional lol.
I'm glad the Si seems so much more fun to drive. Even if it is slower than the 10th gen...
Guy has an LE for sale on autotrader near Toronto for 81k CAD. Best part is he keeps updating the mileage as he’s driving the car. Absolute clown. E: It’s been on there for months now and is constantly updated.
Not sure what you mean by that. You mean it’s a negative? I honestly think it’s just a sideways movement, but if you’re looking for the higher number then sure it’s a negative to you.
There are other things that were added as well, and things that were taken away. It just seems like everybody...
1. 6 peak hp… but more useable power everywhere else. I guarantee you wouldn’t even notice. Tune for more power like everyone has done with the Si for decades, it’s not meant to be a rocket.
2. Vast majority of people who buy the CTR would be pissed about the extra weight of AWD. As others have...
This feels like a pretty accurate render. I hope so, because it looks fantastic. So much easier to look at and no fake vents thank god. I liked the FK8 a lot (I tried to buy one even), but god damn were those fake vents the ugliest thing in existence.
Hard disagree. 200hp is more than enough to have some fun, and the suspension changes will hopefully make the car much better handling . With the increased power band as well I don’t think the insignificant drop in peak power matters. The Si was never a power car, sure people mod to make more...
Less power, but it seems like it’s delivered over a much wider section of the powerband which I would take personally over an extra 10 hp. Also custom drive mode is super nice, hoping they finally do that for the Type R too. Love the smoked taillights too.
Not a ton there, but it seems like the exhaust sounds decent assuming that's a factory setup. Definitely looks good in motion, you can see a lot more detail as the lighting changes. Excited to see the release.
Not offended. You just don’t contribute anything with what you replied, and the OP wrote a solid piece starting a good conversation. There have been lots of complaints about the 2.0 engine, so it’s appropriate for someone who’s driven the car to talk about it’s power.
Nice eye. My guess would be that they are still the same size as the FK8s, but I would be one to swap them for 18s right away and keep the 20s for the track if anything.
