Ok, so I had a chance to stop by a Honda dealership tonight. They had 6-7 new Civic sedans. One of them was a Sport in the best color...Lunar Silver. So I'm a little biased ;) Anyway, the Sport just happened to be unlocked. I hopped in, dropped the seat to the floor like usual and just sat...
I guess the only real advantage to that hatch is you can fit larger objects into the boot. Otherwise, the main difference is "sportier" looks....do you want a shorter rear end that gives off Stinger vibes (hatch) or do u prefer a Sonata vibe (sedan). Again, congrats. You've made a great choice!
That stinks about the non-hatch Si. I'd be a buyer of a Si Hatch as well. Silly Honda. Side note, not that it matters to me, but I hope they use the updated front fascia from the hatch on the Si Sedan. The sedan front grill looks fugly.
Yikes. I've never understood why people like this look. I'm cool with removing some wheel well gap, but I want to see the whole tire.
Props on the photoshop work though!
I like it! But, with no practical reason to upgrade from my Sport Hatch - I'm not a buyer. If I was, I'd be deleting the fake exhaust tips faster than I deleted the 10th gen fake rear vents.
Yes, stock 10th gen dynos were showing 180 hp and torque to the wheels. Looks like 11th gen, not so much. To support that, I believe Str8 Pipes said low to mid 8's with their 11th gen tester, which is obviously notably slower than the 10th gen.
Yeah, the shape of the rear end gives me 2006 Honda insight vibes. (Minus the covered rear wheels, of course) Not a good look, imo.
Or, like someone else said.....it's a Crosstour!
I tried 93 once or twice. Couldn't tell a difference. 87 is fine for the sport hatch. Anything more is wasting money. I ran 0-60 tests....identical. MPG...identical. Save your hard earned cash!
6 years of this is definitely going to drag on. Good thing is, our 10th gens should easily last until the 12th gens come out. Or better yet, this gives us all the perfect excuse to go buy that Porsche we've always wanted. ?
