Agreed. However, some cars just feel different ("special") when you drive them. Its the difference between driving something from A to B vs for fun. I'm actually a BMW person, never owned a Honda ever. Drove a 340i msport and M3 recently, didn't like it. It just felt plain.
Local dealership...
I'm glad all of you have taken the time to share your thoughts. I was certainly one of those who saw the R and S as equal but thankfully I read these posts. The whole point behind buying a car like the R is the special factor. Otherwise, I would just stick with a BMW 340i or similar.
Interesting. I'm going to see how this R goes next year. If not great, I'll jump to the S. Doesn't seem like the S is of short supply like the R. Sherway Acura just posted 5 units this morning.
To add to this, I don't either. I called almost all the Acura dealerships in the GTA, everyone is quoting 15 cars (avg) per year! Not sure how accurate it is, but if the volume of the S really is much more, I'd rather wait a bit and then jump on the list as a back up later if the R deals fall...
I have to agree with everyone else that the ITS will not be as competitive as the R, which is not a bad thing just a different audience. To @POPNTEC's point like a "GTS". Acura said it themselves, the car is going to be setup for the street. So maybe less aggressive engine tuning, mapping...
Slight deviation. Look at this craziness. You like cloth seats for 69k?

Hey Rallye Red owners, just curious, do any of you feeling like with the car being red there is too much red going on? The other colours all naturally contrast. Interested to hear thoughts.
Just putting my two cents out there. I honestly don't care if the FK8 is marginally faster after the 1/2 mile from a roll. In the real world, will we ever go that fast lol? I rather the car feel faster and eager at legal limits, which looks like it is.
I've driven both back to back. I don't think the N competes. There's another level of refinement in the R that the N doesn't have. Plus the R uniqueness, versus the N looking like a nice Hyundai car.
The N is up there but not next to the R. Also like I said before, the people who buy a R know...
