Before I got Infinity Design’s air intake, I was using PRL’s HVI, and I swapped their oiled filter for AEM’s DryFlow air filter. I prefer the convenience and like you said, less worries for someone if they accidentally put too much oil and mess up their MAF sensor.

I am currently running 5W-30, but that’s because my aftermarket turbo calls for it. Plus, in my earlier Blackstone Laboratories tests, they said it wouldn’t hurt to try 5W-30.

I’m with the other guy too, at least for me, my pinch weld blocks that came with my QJ (5000TLX Bundle) did not fit on the FL5 pinch welds. If it was a little bit wider, it would’ve been perfect. Thankfully I’ve been just using the regular blocks with no issues as well.

I concur, I’m using Akebono pads now. Night and day difference compared to the OE Brembo pads. It also helps that my wheels are ceramic coated as well.

I have Infinity design’s intake, but as someone said above, what is your overall goals for the car? That extra money could be put into other worthy modifications depending on what you wanna do.

I think the reason why there hasn’t been a “Race MAF” for the FL5 is because the OEM one is a completely new design. If someone can correct me on this but I think the FL5 uses Frequency output MAF, extending the range of the sensor compared the FK8. No upgrade is needed, or we would’ve already...

I did mine the manual way. Rear pads were pretty much finished at 33k. Fronts still had like 20k miles left but ended up changing all pads for ceramics instead. Also if you guys don’t have a E11 torx, you can use a 9mm hex socket to spin the spindle before compressing the piston.

I agree as well! I’m a minimalistic kinda guy and I wish there was interchangeable tips, as I don’t really like the shiny look of stainless steel or even those burnt style tips. It would’ve been nice to have options like black tips to match the piano black diffuser for a subtle and clean look...
