Overheard at a recent track day: “That damn Civic is F…n fast!”….

I hate driving in the rain, but rain photos are cool.

The GT3 was on Cup 2 R, a significant advantage.

Where is the fake sound produced? Does it feed through the speakers or is there a separate device? My old VW had a gizmo mounted to the firewall that was easily unplugged.

I run individual mode instead of sport for that reason.

No argument on that point. My GT4 with open headers doesn’t sound bad either.

Based on C&D Lightning lap times of 2:40.6 and 2:58.8, the CTR is 12% slower than the GT3….. Choose your measuring stick. The one that matters most to me is driving satisfaction in the real world, and given the realities of public roads for most of us, I’ll take the CTR.

Lots of cars, including the ZLE and our Civics, do just fine with struts up front. The real problem on the GT4 is struts in the rear, which results in not only camber change, which is manageable, but toe change as well. Inexcusable on a $200K GT4 RS, IMO. They get by with it by making it so...

My GT4 replaced a ZL1 1LE. It was fast, and made the right moves, but I never got comfortable with the size and weight.

100%. Another aspect to me is the fact that the CTR is fun and engaging to drive at normal speeds, yet doesn’t feel at all out of place on the track. My GT4 doesn’t come alive without risking my license on the road. The jury is still out on operating costs….

All of the above is why I’m putting my GT4 up for sale.

Track alignment and brake pads, mild tune, 275 18” Goodyear 3R. I found time in several places later in the day, but with the afternoon heat I couldn’t beat my earlier lap time. I still have a ways to go to catch up with the car’s previous owner….

Took my CTR to Roebling Road on Friday. I couldn’t hang with the GT3RS or GT4RS, but the rest of the Porsches, Mustangs and Corvettes were all victims…. It’s fun being the underdog. Nobody expects a fwd econobox to be so quick. I did have to back off a few times when water and oil temps...

Website says 320 grams. I didn’t weigh it, but it felt slightly heavier than the stock knob..

I use a RAM suction mount, and tether it to the mirror with zip ties just in case. Never had it come loose on track.

ToD is way overhyped. I did it last time just to be able to say I’ve been, but we skipped it this year.
