Edit, driving update: as expected, there is not a lot of impact on the stiffness; the Type R is already a reinforced square. However, it did "soften" the front end while also making it feel more square. Not sure that makes sense. It balances the dampening across the front while making the front...
I'm seeking specific info on the components that comprise the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Acuity (or PRL or other) shifter upgrades. I'm primarily interested in the upgraded spring for reduced wobble; what do I get out of the different pieces? Are the shifter link bushings really worth pulling out...
Round Rock and Leander Honda have a couple of technicians who will install aftermarket stuff, but they're selective, apparently. I'm sure they'd make me sign a waiver if I was looking to have cams replaced, and they legally wouldn't be allowed to install a catless downpipe, but they'll do...
I attempted to have the local Honda dealership install the PRL collars today. One of their two capable mechanics straight up declined the work, and the other was basing their time on the Honda Network's suggested rate for the removal of the front subframe, which was 2.9 hours, not including the...
36 days of ownership, parked today at 999mi. And more than 6 tanks of gas. That "Range" figure is awful cute, though. Recently unplugged the battery, so the computer still thinks it's a regular Civic. ?
Tools needed, plastic trim tool, 14mm crescent wrench, clips, and low profile zip tie.
Pop up panel, preferably with a plastic trim tool, slide under, twist to pop up side, then corner, then pull up from the top and pop up the other side.
Once I can get my fingers under, I can pop it up by...
I'm so mad I didn't read this thread before installing today. What an absolute pain in the dick. It didn't just muscle off unscrew. The bolt stuck to the knob and made it impossible to unscrew. Had to pop up the panel and clip the zip tie. There was no way the clip was coming off - the zip tie...
Well, that's minus 1 star.

I've ordered and installed this from Amazon that is pretty effective: https://amzn.to/4dfZ7Mn

Generic OE blades are going to perform at an "average" level. My issue is likely more related to the sprayers than the generic blades they come with. The wiper sprayers are supposedly more efficient but also less effective. And a direct compatibility issue with these blades.
They've initiated a...
It's present on the front two doors of my Civic and all four doors on my wife's '25 CR-V. The ones on the front doors look temporary, but the ones on my wife's rear doors look more permanent due to the trim molding around them.
Because the factory blades have sucked from day 1.
And PIAA were $60 when normal wipers were still $10-20 per. PIAA were $35+$30 for the ones I got for my 2017. That's what normal blades cost now (a pair of RainX are $30+30, wtf...). I would get maybe 6mo-2years out of any brand/style blade...
Normally I'd go with PIAA's SI-TECH, those last freaking forever and have by far the best performance. It's not even close. They're expensive tho, and they don't offer compatibility with these clips yet.
That said, the factory blades are one of the weakest points on the vehicle (next to the...
These looked really cool in photos, which is where things started to go wrong. Silicon, looked decent enough, easy to replace the inserts, hot swappable yadda yadda.
The 10th and 11th gens have drastically different windshields, wipers, and wiper connecting arms. They have two different Type R...
