  1. CEES Exhaust - Custom fab titanium exhaust

The exhaust arrived relatively unscathed. One of the tip mounting tubes has some mild deformation, but it shouldn't affect the ability to mount the tips. Otherwise, it is in flawless condition. It was well packaged, with 5-6 insulation layers per piece, and then sealed in plastic. The container...
  2. TSP x PRL: SRS Front & Rear Collar Kits

I'm pretty sure they're all made of aluminum.
  3. TSP x PRL: SRS Front & Rear Collar Kits

Well, here's to hoping we get instructions today!
  4. Hondata FlashPro and CA SMOG

How does California inspect for smog? Physical validation of equipment? Sniffer test? In Texas, they plug in the OBD2 and ensure both O2 sensors and the EVAP are listed as "READY"—you can have an O2 or EVAP listed as "NOT READY" but not both. If the ECU reports OK, we can have whatever on the...
  5. FL5 Vanity Plate Hall of Fame

Finally, I got my dealer plates and transferred the vanity from my previous vehicle. This was a way to celebrate sobriety, one of the reasons I could afford this vehicle.
  6. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Got a small version of the car to go with my 9th and 10th gens. That heat soak... ?
  7. 107 miles out of warranty and a fireworks display of warnings in the dash...

If bad gas misfired in multiple cylinders, it could have blown out the valves and gone into limp. 36k miles is barely enough for breaking in the transmission. Engine should be good for another 200k. Whatever it is, they'll have to fix it under drivetrain warranty. ??
  8. 107 miles out of warranty and a fireworks display of warnings in the dash...

This could be as nebulous as a bad batch of gas. How empty was your tank when this happened? What was the smell like? Fishy? Smokey? Electrical?
  9. TSP x PRL: SRS Front & Rear Collar Kits

PRL's support mentioned they were expecting a full writeup with instructions and pictures to be ready this week. I'll have the car jacked up this weekend for my exhaust, so should be good timing.
  10. K&N Intake Installation Experience on FL5

Honestly, not really. They're not better, but they're not worse. It cools off faster at speed, but heat soak while idling is the same. I'm still missing the rubber gasket to "seal" it to the hood, and I plan to wrap the pipe and air box. I'm also in Texas with a black car—100F ambient, 120F IAT...
  11. CEES Exhaust - Custom fab titanium exhaust

Interesting - they transported by plane, not ship, so it's already in Los Angeles. The anticipation is ... aggressive.
  12. K&N Intake Installation Experience on FL5

Sample video: https://photos.app.goo.gl/1d2QPJbtH4gQN4af6 Amazon Link: https://amzn.to/4eu77dy Installation took about an hour, though I was mostly taking my time. Parts of what I received feel like it was an early sample - the drill holes for the K&N click-in badge on the airbox aren't...
  13. CEES Exhaust - Custom fab titanium exhaust

The exhaust will be held together with stainless sleeve clamps, which are not the worst option. Titanium V clamps cost about $300 a piece, so I can't complain. The package has arrived at the regional distribution center at a Chinese port. Getting it processed, loaded on a ship, and sailed to an...
  14. MY 2024 Civic Type R FL5 Shipments from Japan

That's cool to see which ship my car came in. It did indeed arrive at the dealership on 7/11, VIN: 4300's.
  15. CEES Exhaust - Custom fab titanium exhaust

It's made. But I'm getting different titanium tips (curved edge, vs open can). Now to wait on freight and customs.
  16. FL5 F1 Exhaust System

Straight through fat pipes. That sounds awful at idle. A little muffler+resonator goes a long way.
  17. FL5 F1 Exhaust System

https://www.coc-exhaust.com/ https://cees-exhaust.com/ https://bskmy.en.alibaba.com/ These are all the same company, owned by the same holding company. Several other digital storefronts issue orders through or to this particular manufacturer. I placed my order through the CEES page and...
  18. Garage lip, garage parking, low profile tires...

How often were you relocating? I might want this, too, for the entryway to the driveway. I'm scuffing the air dam (not the lip of the bumper) everytime I back out, even at the sharpest angle. But I'll message em and see what they suggest. Thanks for the info, folks!
