I don't think anything can be done about the torque steer. It's just a by product of asking the car to steer and power 315hp through the front wheels. I will say, during spirited canyon driving, you won't notice it as much. It's an amazing backroad car!
dude, that is way bigger news than a car! Congrats and wishing you and the family the best. Kids are awesome and even more awesome to shuttle them around in a cool car !
I gave the DE5 a short look because I am in my 40s with 2 kids, and I thought the DE5 was a more mature option... but my heart and wants what it wants and the kid in me won over. It was Type R or bust. I knew that if I settled for the DE5, I would have eventually caved in and sold it for a Type...
My Wife's dd is a Tesla Model Y Performance. For around town driving and running errands, nothing beats it. No engine to warm up, cabin can be set at any temp and always on... fast and quiet. They also handle decent because of the low CoG. It's a super practical car to have if you can charge on...
I think you are right. I will grab one for the future. I ordered motor mounts today even though mine are in good shape. I just want to be ready when the time comes!
As someone who has been a fan of the S2000 since they came out, and should have bought one long ago, it's definitely a car that you can really enjoy depending on where you are in life. I have 2 kids; 6 and 10 now, and my pleasure driving time is limited. If I was 20 years younger and single, the...
With these wheels. you're shaving 5lbs of rotating mass per. corner! The car steers noticeably quicker and 'lighter on it's feet' is the way I would describe it. It's not night and day difference, but I can tell the difference as soon as I mounted the wheels and drove away.
I still have my OEM...
I've been on car forums since dsm.org days (1995 or so) and i've seen guys like that before. They sell the car for whatever reasons after a short stint of ownership, but yet always have 1 foot in the door to 'discuss' and to justify why they sold their car.
I welcome all discussion - good or...
Very cool to see fellow motorcyclists here too! I used to live at the track and did club racing years ago! I still have a single bike in the stable; a BMW S1000XR.
side note : I recently bought a motocompacto, and that little scooter is a riot. lol
My G80 Is 6MT. The used car thing is obviously a preference as i've already mentioned above...
Apologies to the OP for derailing your thread. To add my take, i'd ask if I can get a replacement car, but not expect it. Let them repair the car, and move on. Hopefully a year from now, the whole...
A 991.2 S is still a used car, CPO warranty or not. It still has 6 years of wear and tear. I spent time and miles in the 991.2 S and while it is a great car, it was very unrefined compared to my G80 which it would replace. I didnt find the driving experience to be in a "different league." I...
IMO, right around 300hp/300tq is the sweet sport for a relatively light weight car, and primarily street/canyon car. It's much less satisfying to constantly 'hold back' a higher HP car on the street. One of my other cars is a G80 M3, and rarely can I or should I even remotely exploit its limits...
They came with the center caps and some really nice valve stems+polished metal valve stem caps.
I am re-using the black lug nuts from the car.
Being an OEM Honda part, the quality and finish is really good. After a month of driving, I have noticed a few tiny pin size chips, and am looking for...
I've been scouring craigslist.org/fb marketplace for months. Then this 1 owner car popped up at 10am one day, I emailed them and tried to buy it that day, but I guess they were bombarded with offers, but somehow they picked me!
I did not. I only ordered a new trim because I broke (chipped) mine trying to figure out the ticking sound. My guess is the new trim with new adhesive did the trick. Interestingly enough, there quite a few of us with this issue.
I should really get all the cars for a group pic, butI have an S2000 AP1, The FL5 Type R, G80 M3, and my family hauler is my 2022 Tacoma 4X4. My wife drives a Model Y Performance.
[edit] pics of my DD. It's slightly lifted on Fox 2.0 suspension, and a lot of other little mods. :)
