  1. DSC suspension controller feedback/experience on a stock CTR FL5

I have very little experience in suspension modifications. I am currently researching rear sway bars. My top contender is the RV6 rear sway bar https://rv6-p.com/products/rv6-17-civic-type-r-2-0t-fk8-rear-sway-bar-with-endlink I am curious why you plan to go with Whiteline...
  2. DSC suspension controller feedback/experience on a stock CTR FL5

Nice review. Prior to the DSC I had the ITS module which I installed a few weeks after I purchased my FL5 about a year ago, ITS was "better" as far is it wasn't as teeth rattling. I installed the DSC about a month ago, and even though I did not drive much on it, I can concur with OP review. I...
  3. Genuine Dumb Question/Concern regarding Hybrid Shifters

I had the HR shifter in my 07 FA5 Si (180K miles) and I loved it. I installed the HR shifter in the FL5 a week after I purchased it, and I also installed the HR shifter cable bushings. I did not experience any issues with the HR shifter after installing it in the FL5, though I have not built...
  4. FL5 Civic Type R Coolant Expansion Tanks: Best Options & Buyer’s Guide

Installed the PRL coolant expansion tank, it seems very well made, I like that it is larger than other tanks and increases the capacity of the cooling system, but I did not like paying $25 for a gallon of Honda Type 2 coolant... I used a 500cc syringe to suck up nearly all the coolant from the...
  5. What did you do to your FL5 today?

  6. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Speaking of keys, I don't recall if I posted this since I bought these a year ago on the same day I brought the car home, but worth repeating, since these prevent (or at least make it more time consuming and difficult) an easy way for the bad guys to steal our cars. Faraday pouch which prevents...

  8. The Wait is OVER: SUMA Mirrors are officially BACK! ⚡

Except that at the time I ordered it, there were no choices, only "blue" (see image and link to internet archive below) I guess that you added the choices after I placed my order, and sent me the "auto-dim" even though the CTR never had an auto dim mirror... I do not believe that I should be...
  9. DSC Sport Controller Suspension Module

I noticed it it did annoy me. but it is not visible... the more I drive with the DSC, the more I like it, which makes up for the upside down label :-)
  10. The Wait is OVER: SUMA Mirrors are officially BACK! ⚡

  13. FL5/DE5 Transmission fluid reference

When should I change the transmission fluid for a street/freeway driven CTR (no track)? Does the fluid change interval depends on the fluid used? I believe that Honda maintenance minder kicks in at around 60,000 miles or four years, but that seem too long...
  14. DSC Sport Controller Suspension Module

Thanks, I did not realize this when I purchased the DSC, but it makes perfect sense. This weekend, second drive with the DSC, mostly highway driving in comfort mode, even at speeds far exceeding the speed limit, is comfortable and still fairly "supple". I have a dash cam that beeps and saves...
  15. DSC Sport Controller Suspension Module

Only one short drive so far, and I did not attempt to push it even close to the limits. Note that I do not track the car, I main goal was have more comfort for daily surface street and freeway drives, and +R when I go on fun drives. DSC so far delivers on both.
  16. DSC Sport Controller Suspension Module

I installed the DSC suspension controller to replace the ITS ADS module which I've been using since a few weeks after getting the car. Installation took about 15 minutes, I took the bracket off the CTR ADS, and kept the brackets on the ITS ADS I took it for a ride over a short local canyon...

  19. Lojack installed from dealer means I can't put vtt obd lock on... Keep or remove?

No, I did not find it difficult to install, it is expensive, I found the fitment to be fine as it does seem to be securely attached. the security bolts are recessed into the cover, I am not sure how they can be cut. I have to admit that, at the time I purchased it, I did not not do a lot of...
  20. Lojack installed from dealer means I can't put vtt obd lock on... Keep or remove?

not sure what's there to like or not to like. it was fairly expensive, it fits and was easy to install. seems to lock securely. have not yet had a chance to remove it. as a matter of fact, not sure if I even remember where I put the key....
