@Jester04 or anyone for that matter, could yall maybe shed light on this question for me.
seeing as these tunes require a certain octane fuel (93 in my case) and since more than likely a little bit of 87 octane will be going into the gas tank from what’s left in the line from the person fueling...
agreed. Will be doing that from now on
So I had 4000 miles on my RMM. The vibrations did go down from when I first installed. And honestly, I believe I just got used to how it was since I didn’t have the car long before I installed the RMM. However, I think most would notice how much...
Can also attest to how good the Jester tune is! Been running his OTS map for almost a year now and love the power over stock! Only modification I have is a PRL HVI so the car is essentially stock. With his tune the car pulls significantly harder. I’ve been very impressed!
Yeah man I won’t be installing any stiffer mounts again in this car. Almost every review I read about the 62A mount described it as subtle and the vibrations couldn’t even be felt after a while. But the connectivity to the car and shift feel was greatly improved. At least for me, that wasn’t...
Just an update to this:
installed the acuity stage 2 short shifter kit along with a heavier (over 1 pound) and extended shift knob. Love the feel of the heavier shift knob which subtly mutes some of the feeling in the shifts. That’s completely my personal preference as I know some like to have...
As the title states, I have a Hasport 62A RMM for an FL5 Type R for sale. Used for about 10 months and 4000 miles so it’s thoroughly broken in. Honestly, just wasn’t for me. Tried to like it but the added vibration and odd sensation in shifting was driving me insane. Others seem to love it...
Good to hear. I’m almost at 3000 miles since my last oil change with no issues also.
Have you done another oil change since? any metal debris found if you did?
Glad I stumbled across this post cause I had a very similar experience when I did my 6000 mile oil change! Tiny amount of metal strands and dirt in the oil. I couldn’t be sure if some of it was already in the pan though or if it came out of the car. Scared the shit outta me ?
I made a post...
Appreciate the feedback! Having the s2k and FL5 is a sort of attainable dream garage for me. I’m overall very happy with both cars but at the end of the day, nothing is perfect and I gotta learn to accept that.
There’s no better daily car for me out there for the money so I’ll figure it out...
I’ve had my car tuned for about 10 months now with a Jester tune through Hondata. Plenty of WOT pulls and this has never happened once. Maybe just a fluke. If it does happen again, definitely read what codes it’s throwing before just resetting it.
maybe your MAF is loose also? Did you mess...
I don’t know if I would describe it like that but possibly. It’s literally like a shock that I can feel through the shift knob. Best way I can describe it is like what you feel in the knob when the gears grind but without the gears actually making a grinding sound or preventing you from going...
not a bad way to put it. I honestly do love the car and its capabilities. I suppose I’m just very critical of some its faults or characteristics. If I could get some confirmation that what I’m feeling is normal I would probably be ok with them. I understand the vibration is more than likely...
it’s definitely a possibility. I just know this is a relatively recent thing. I’ve maybe only been feeling this the last couple thousand miles
What boggles my mind is that the 1-2 shift is silky smooth! If it were synchro related I feel like I would feel it up shifting AND downshifting into...
I definitely don’t find the Amsoil worse in the cold. I find it to be pretty good in the cold but not really any smoother than the Honda stuff. With the transmission hot then yes absolutely the Amsoil is a touch smoother. I wouldn’t say it’s a game changer smoother but noticeably smoother over...
I’m sure hoping not lol I feel like if it was the synchro I would feel it going from 1-2. The fact that I only feel it going from 3-2 and only sometimes is what boggles my mind.
It’s like my specialty to get cars with issues that no one else else has ?
Nope.
Maybe a better way to describe what I’m feeling is the feeling you get in the shift knob when the car does grind. But the shift is smooth into gear after the feeling and there is no grinding sound or lockout from going into the gear. Just the odd sensation in the gear knob that is not...
Got a wierd issue with my car that I’m hoping someone can shed some light on.
Car is a 23’ with 8k miles now. Has acuity cable shifter bushings and Hasport 62a RMM. For the most part, my transmission shifts pretty smoothly. 1-2 is always smooth and I’ve never once had a grind. In fact, I’ve...
Was going to make another thread about my issue but figured I would ask here first.
23’ FL5..never had the 2nd gear grind. My first to second is actually buttery smooth every time. What I have noticed though..and it’s become a slight annoyance..is a sort of “buzz” feeling in the shift knob...
