I'm reading conflicting statements on the ability to clear the code.
Only reason I ask is because I'm a bit OCD thinking maybe I accidentally hit "Clear DTCs" while fumbling through my Hondata desktop application. It isn't the most intuitive piece of software haha.
Anyone know if you're...
I don’t want to risk not properly reading the codes. Besides, if I have the code now vs later when I’m trying to claim warranty they’d know either way haha. This is more of a “do I need to run a compression test?” to check for damage kinda thing.
Either way, you make a great point. I should...
@MooMoo Ah okay, I hear you.
My understanding is that over-revving is a mechanical occurrence that a limiter or rev-match system can’t protect you against.
Therefore, as you release your clutch and reconnect your engine to the transmission, the revs have no choice but to go up. And if it did...
@MooMoo I’d assume that the rev-match won’t do anything and thus the “upshift beep” won’t trigger.
But if you clutch out and your revs increase and you over-rev it would trigger the “upshift beep”.
In other words, the very fact that I heard and saw revs increase but didn’t hear a “beep” should...
@MooMoo I created a new thread about a similar situation.
Do you know if my Hondata flash pro would be able to detect the code?
If it can detect it, I’m assuming you can’t clear it with the Hondata flash pro either?
Long story short. Went from 4-3 when I wanted to go 4-5. Auto rev-match was on, so the engine revved high. I didn’t hear the shift sound you normally would when you rev to redline so I think I’m good.
Lesson learned.
Either way, I just want to be really sure that I’m good.
I hooked up the...
I know I know, "embrace the racecar". However wanted to confirm if a few things I've experienced are normal.
1. Metal vibrating noise when going over speed strips or rumble strips at speeds >25ish mph. Sounds like a tambourine. Anyone else?
2. In third gear there is a prominent ringing noise...
Anyone else running TSP Stage 1 tune with stock engine piping?
Pulled the trigger on a Hondata and Stage 1 tune from TSP. I'm probably going to run Map 3 99 percent of the time so I'm not in full boost all the time.
Wondering how long I can do that before I need supporting mods or risk damage...
Getting unlocked soon and am looking at the 91 base tune. I’m not trying to beat on this car or push it to its limits such that I shorten component life. More so looking to improve the overall experience of driving the car.
That being said, how safe is Hondata’s 91 base tune?
I was eyeing this exhaust until I heard there was drone. Unfortunately not enough videos out there on this exhaust to make me feel comfortable with pulling the trigger. I think Remark's video had their fake noise on.
This is what I've been waiting for. Surprised the YT video was released without an IG promotion. Stumbled across it on my daily search for FL5 exhausts videos hoping I'd come across something I like. It's like opening the fridge over and over again expecting something new to show up.
I'm trying to figure out if the intake temps I am getting with the PRL HVI is as expected.
About 55 degrees (F) outside. While in motion intake temps are about +20 to +35 degrees.
While at a stand still however, I am seeing temps rise to 105+.
Installed PRL RMM and driven on it for like 200 miles. It's getting better each time and I barely notice it now. With A/C it can be rough but usually when it's just turning on, it dies down pretty quickly after that.
I had reached out to 27won on instagram. I was told that their catback should be out by the end of the year. They are the last ones I am holding my breath for. If that one flops...idk.
