Thanks for letting us know. The 25 Si body is about 3% stiffer, and the front subframe mounts and mounting points are more rigid than the pre-refresh. That's what might be causing the bounciness imho.
The dampers are actually a little more compliant because of the additional body & suspension...
Seriously though, what do women like? Do I need to pick up playing guitar, reading poetry, or get a dog to turn a lady's eye? God forbid I start going to yoga class.
I'm not in the market right now for mods, but did you think the 27WON front strut bar with integrated brake master cylinder brace was worth the $. I'm looking to get the combo this summer.
Bumping for visibility, good luck with your sale. Question about your Spoon Springs and Rigid Collars.
Could you please go into some detail on how these two ride vs. stock, particularly on the street?
Wait, the 2025 Si's can't be flashed normally like the 2022-2024's and a Connectivity Device is required? What changed between the previous years and the refresh?
The Type R has a similar but separate operating system that includes LogR functionality. I doubt Honda will update the Type R's OS specifically because the CTR is a low volume seller, the OS already does what it needs to do, and money can go elsewhere for development.
Updating the CTR's...
Motor1 called Honda Corporate a week ago and confirmed a 7.2% manual transmission take rate for the Civic platform in 2024. With 242,005 total Civics sold last year in the US, that's about 17,424 units with the 6MT.
The good news is that these numbers are up both unit-wise and percentage-wise...
What you're doing is good, but you're definitely overthinking it. It's a Honda engine and won't blow up if you exceed 4,001 rpm lol
Like others said, let the car warm up and forget about oil temps on the street, drive it casually, avoid going over 4k (but going to 4.5k or 5k isn't going to hurt...
This is correct, but let me add to it and argue for the negative: Most women don't care what car you drive unless it's:
1) Smelly inside (ie. don't make her feel gross)
2) Dirty inside (ie. don't make her feel gross)
3) Dirty outside (ie. don't embarrass her in front of her friends or family)...
Thanks! Does the CANFlex come with a method of flashing the ECU or not since it comes with the tune? Will I need to buy both the FlashPro and the CANFlex? Sorry, new to this flex fuel stuff.
Hi Doug / Hondata, does the tune adjust power for different proportions of pump gas and flex fuel? Will it adjust power down to, say 255hp, if the gas tank has half gas, half ethanol in it?
Bumping this thread because I'm planning on spoon springs too, but:
1) With high-quality spoon springs and less aggressive drop, I don't think reliability and service life would be impacted much, but would like other's input on this
2) 20mm is a minor drop, and I don't think any camber kits are...
How have your spoon springs affected your ride compared to stock? I'm looking to buy and I've read that they're close to OEM, but was wondering your opinion.
Great, let us know how the Type R mount compares to the stock one. I'm debating that same thing - if the PRL is too stiff for a fun daily.
Chilly did the Type R mount -> PRL mount and he said the Type R didn't really change things compared to stock so I'm interested in your opinion.
Buy one of those track focused removable steering wheels and remove steering wheel every time you leave the car.
It would be annoying, but thieves can't steal cars they can't steer.
