I'd love to hear your take on the psychology of car ownership either in another thread or in a future video (unless you've already done one and I missed it).
The 1.5T is a good engine in stock form. Hundreds of thousands of turbocharged Civics in North America and the rest world have successfully used it in a variety of climates (Toronto winters / Arizona desert summers, etc). Oil dilution was almost assuredly fixed by Honda with the new gen cars and...
Current used prices on Autotempest show FK8s in my region around the mid-40's to 50's for low mileage examples. What that tells me is that Honda knows the market and is capturing that markup in the MSRP for the FL5. Dealers are taking it even further. Its a business decision that's good for...
If its any help, when I owned my FRS, I once drove on my Michelin Super Sports for two weeks in mild subzero weather (25-32 degress) before I changed to my winter tires. Luckily there was no snow or rain during that period in November. As long as its dry and you're gentle with the throttle and...
If you have been driving normally, you don't need to wait before turning off the engine. You only need to either wait or drive a few cooldown miles if you've been driving really hard to let the oil fall back down to normal operating temps (like in autocross / track driving)...
This isn't related to tuning, but since you're using the Si as a family car, would you please describe how firm the suspension is? I'm trying to decide if the Si is too stiff for me as a daily driver here in Michigan. How is going over bumps and potholes in the road?
Thanks!
The MR2 Spyder drip pan under the hood vent is really heavy. It makes the Spdyer trunk as heavy as a normal hood despite it being half the size. Using plastic mounted to the intake tubing is the lighter option compared to a metal pan attached to the hood.
Seems just a tad early, but I see you're from Minnesota haha. Then again, it's supposed to get down to the mid 30's here in Michigan in the next few days.
Yup, I understand that the Si doesn't have adaptive suspension. But the integra is my only real shot at test driving something similar to the Si. I heard that the Acura in sport mode is similar in firmness to the Si. Just wondering if anyone can confirm.
Hello all, Iām in the market for a new Civic Si, but my problem is that there arenāt any available for test drive within 200 miles of me. I checked for the new Integra and Iām in luck, thereās one available on the lot at my local Acura dealership. Hopefully it wonāt be sold by the time I attempt...
I'm cross shopping the following cars in the following order:
1) Civic Si as a value pick
2) New gen Accord 2.0T as a stretch
3) CTR as an even larger stretch
4) Acura Integra manual
Everything revolves around finding something at MSRP. If I can't find a Civic Si at MSRP, I might jump to an...
