Tire Rack was very kind to let me return the 265/40 Potenza Sport and upgrade to the RE-71 RS in 255/40. So. Much. Better!! The rock guards are not in these pictures, because I only installed those today. These pictures are from last week, and I forgot to post them in this thread.

FD3D rock guards installed. These are great! I left the inserts out, didn’t feel like I needed them. Install was a cakewalk with their handy included tiny screwdriver, didn’t need to lift the car, turn the wheels, nothing. Install and go! Willow taking a nap after all of his hard work...

Unattractive Potenza Sport sidewalls with cankles and seasoned Facebook Type R group trolls notwithstanding, this is not a bad little solution for someone who doesn’t want to lower his car. Their combined 64mm more width exaggerates the lateral grip and stability this car already has in spades...

Turned it around. Things going a lot better. It happens.

Sold my old wheels after I thought I was trading the car. So I got new ones. I also got a new bathroom scale that I trust a little better than the old one. At least it matches what the Dr. says I weigh annually. 265/40/18x9.5 +37. Stock height.

Huge downgrade across the board. Very narrow Very tall Won’t look right There’s no real logical reason to do it unless snow tires.

I'm looking at a set of these. Apparently they moved to 50mm OD. What hubcentric rings are you using, and where did you get them? Thanks!

I’ve owned an FK8 and two FL5s. I still have one FL5. I bought them all new. I’ve had issues with zero of their shifters. Having said all of that, I have a friend with an FK8, and their shifter would definitely grind second if you tried to rush it. So weird.

I don’t expect a tuner is going to be able to sort that. Somebody’s going to need to bench your ECU. Is your car a 2023 or 2024?

And here I am in the camp of those who early adopted, then reverted and sold the DE5 module. FL5 module in Comfort dampening is good for 95% of all the things. DE5 comfort is too soft for me, and the other modes will still bounce in high speed corners where pavement isn’t almost perfect...
