Tire Rack was very kind to let me return the 265/40 Potenza Sport and upgrade to the RE-71 RS in 255/40.
So. Much. Better!!
The rock guards are not in these pictures, because I only installed those today. These pictures are from last week, and I forgot to post them in this thread.
I love these! Super easy install, very fair pricing. Thanks for offering such a good product for the community.

FD3D rock guards installed. These are great!
I left the inserts out, didn’t feel like I needed them. Install was a cakewalk with their handy included tiny screwdriver, didn’t need to lift the car, turn the wheels, nothing. Install and go!

Unattractive Potenza Sport sidewalls with cankles and seasoned Facebook Type R group trolls notwithstanding, this is not a bad little solution for someone who doesn’t want to lower his car.
Their combined 64mm more width exaggerates the lateral grip and stability this car already has in spades...
Sold my old wheels after I thought I was trading the car. So I got new ones.

Brother, it's SO HOT here right now. He's an elderly kitty, so I have told his sweet orange self that he needs to be inside 95% of the time during the summer. He's up in my bed sawing snore logs as I type this.
Almost parted ways with this car. It's a wild story, and worth sharing.
I sell real estate in the Nashville area, and with these continued high rates, homes are trading much slower than usual right now. Moreover, my daughter is about to start college.

It’s definitely confirmation bias, and that’s ok. It’s not like you wasted money if you like DE5 comfort and want the old FL5 Sport with +R full defeat off/off.
But to me, the DE5 programming is clearly based from the FL5.
The are a couple of not-perfect pavement corners that I enter at...
And here I am in the camp of those who early adopted, then reverted and sold the DE5 module.
FL5 module in Comfort dampening is good for 95% of all the things.
DE5 comfort is too soft for me, and the other modes will still bounce in high speed corners where pavement isn’t almost perfect...
