  1. Hondata…worth it?

I need to get back in this with my 2024. I had the Two Step in my 2023 and it was quick. Hopefully there will be a jailbreak near Nashville sometime soon.
  2. Updated Type R worth waiting for? Release date soon?

For all that is good and right, please fix the dampening programming and get rid of the bouncing in high speed corners, Honda. And sell THAT module to all of us instead of the overhyped ITS one.
  3. First track day, now tires are “noisy”?!?

Hey Trey, it’s Seth. That’s just feathering because of stock camber. It’s a sign you’re doing good work out there! Get you a cheap second set of wheels and 200TWs to mount up for next time.
  4. Honest review of Palindrome Lab FL5 upgrade kit

Palindrome Labs is the banned user “ctrmofo” from CivicX and “Aston D. Martin”, on the Facebook groups. He’s super toxic, shady, and a shameless shill from the FK8 days to boot. Do yourselves a favor and support vendors who are actually serving the CTR community at large and/or vendors on these...
  5. Required Fuel Type

A lot of people in this thread making a fuss over very little. The ECU has the authority range to correct for 87 octane. Yes, it’s reactive by design. But the amount of knock won’t be audible and it will easily correct before damaging levels. Should you try to run 91-93 and will it make the...
  6. What’s the (alert) buzz?

Is this real life? ? Fix your broken driving habits!
  7. SOLD—Thank you

    SOLD
  8. I’ll just park next to you thank you

How are y'all mad at the OP? The far side of the lot is nearly vacant. I love when another car enthusiast parks next to me. You know they will be kind, cautious, and never ding your door.
  9. Slipping clutch?

If you want to test for a slipping clutch, put the car in sixth gear at about 70 mph and mat the throttle. If the RPMs jump and the car doesn’t surge forward (like free revving), your clutch is slipping. You’re never going to feel it in normal driving in low gears unless the clutch doesn’t even...
  10. Gambit intake kit FL5

I love your work and hustle, so please don’t take this as criticism. Maybe it puts a fire in your belly to develop things further. I’m also a little older, but my formative car guy days were based in research and development. I had a friend who owned a dyno, and I spent a whole lot of time...
  11. Hondata jailbreak tour -Atlanta 4/20

    Come back to Nashville!
  12. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

Are you anywhere near Nashville? I’ll install it for you for the low price of free.
  13. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

Read one post above where I explain settings one through four. The reason I finally sold it was because I didnt care for ITS comfort at all and on a glass like road or smooth track, FL5 +R can at least be usable. On stock wheels, I use comfort almost exclusively. On my TE37s with RT660...
  14. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

Sorry, didn’t see a tag or quote. Here’s my old posts, I’ll try to expound beyond this and explain why I sold in next post.
  15. Data sharing - the Honda way

I like Cammisa, but he goes after clicks with strong reactions, which I don’t care for. Here, he almost sounds like an off the rails conspiracy theorist. If you are using HondaLink, opt out of data sharing and move on. Have even one of you been dropped due to this? Didn’t think so. Everyone’s...
  16. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

I had it and sold it. Prefer the stock CTR so much more. Comfort is perfect for most driving, never too soft unless going 8/10 or above. The ITS comfort is too soft and pointless.
  17. How Does Driving Experience Compare?

Drive other things and see for yourself. Only you can know if you would prefer a RWD car.
  18. Catastrophic Engine Failure

Super high. OP never came back and wonky avatar on the new dude.
  19. PointByPatrol #21985 Build Journal! RIP #9243

And sound like a bag of smashed assholes. I don’t care how tunable it is, the blue oval boys could learn a thing or two from the bowtie boys on how to make proper V8 engine noises.
